Hi

Travelling home a week or so ago, I saw a white M35, 250t (rx possibly) on Port Wakefield Road near the Salisbury Highway overpass around 5 o'clock heading north.

Now what caught my eye was that it had led brake lights in the top half of the taillights.

I was wondering if you (the owner) fitted the leds yourself or if you got a third party to do it; either way I would like to know what and how it was done as I want to do it to my Stagea soon.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Looks very  indeed, I noticed it from the Pt Wakefield Rd bridge heading north and you (or ya missus) were almost @ the lights ahead of me in traffic(a good 2-300m) and from memory it was a fairly sunny afternoon so they really do stand out .

When you say they are done pretty neatly, can you see them when you just open the tailgate or are they mounted in behind the light, as Im curious how they fit. Some (detailed mounting pics) would be noice!!!!

they are mounted just like stock tail lights. I havent pulled them out to suss the wiring but the actual light itself is neat compared to some of the hack jobs i have seen on the auctions. If we have time i might pop out with it on the cruise meet up point n say g;'day

    • haha don't worry I'm sue you've got more fun ahead buying a 30 year old turbo car....but at least you are in the right place to ask
    • some days eh? The keyless entry and interior light on/off with the key will be controlled by the Body Control Module, but I'm not certain where that is or what it looks like (you might get lucky with a search to get a part#, which could be printed on it). I'd start at the A pillar/ Under dash/kick panel on the driver's side
    • It might be hit and miss, but Nissan Genuine Parts and Pitworks are not the same thing, although both are available from Nissan Dealers with Nissan Part Numbers. Nissan Genuine Parts are the OEM stuff, Pitworks are their attempt to get people back from generic parts makers
    • I did end up getting it sorted, as GTSBoy said, there was a corroded connection and wire that needed to be replaced. I ended up taking out the light assembly, giving everything a good clean and re-soldered the old joints, and it came out good.
    • Wow, thanks for your help guys 🙏. I really appreciate it. Thanks @Rezz, if i fail finding any new or used, full or partial set of original Stage carpets i will come back to you for sure 😉 Explenation is right there, i just missed it 🤦‍♂️. Thanks for pointing out. @soviet_merlin in the meantime, I received a reply from nengun, and i quote: "Thanks for your message and interest in Nengun. KG4900 is for the full set of floor mats, while KG4911 is only the Driver's Floor Mat. FR, RH means Front Right Hand Side. All the Full Set options are now discontinued. However, the Driver's Floor Mat options are still available according to the latest information available to us. We do not know what the differences would be, but if you only want the one mat, we can certainly see what we can find out for you". Interesting. It seems they still have some "new old stock" that Duncan mentioned 🤔. I wonder if they can provide any photos......And i also just realized that amayama have G4900 sets. I'm tempted too.
