There are guys who drive there with half their motor out of the bonnet! A Corolla with a cannon would get pulled over before a Stagea would lol.

Ive driven to all of them and never had a drama. Ill be on a trailer for this one though I think.

Yeah. I reckon i will just drive it in. Since my first post in this thread, i have managed to buy all parts of the standard 260RS air intake and piping. That was my main concern...

An 8 point cage..... ? Why? is all I have to ask

Pffttt... Cause chicks dig it brah nyaanyaa.gif

No. It came with the car and to be honest... I really like it. The car was (supposedly) tuned by Mines in Japan before it came to Aus and I think its had a fair bit of track time.

Ok so who has entered??

Sent my payment through yesterday :)

All I need now is to get my custom turbine housing, have my manifold made, buy a better thermo fan, bit of fab work, buy tyres and get the car tuned.....eerrrm :teehee:

yeh ive entered got my confirmation email yesterday, ill be in my rb26 powered 32 gtst but its only general admission driving 130 bucks, is the first day have any driving or is it just a day for getting your driving ticket and stickers etc?

I have entered my r32 gtr.

C U all there.

NO RAIN would be nice.

I suggest going there on Thursday to get all your armbands and your scrutineering done.

Then on the Friday all you need to do is watch the driver briefing video, then you are ready to go.

After reading Gup's latest letter, to be able to get a pit lane pass one has to have hired either a garage or carport, so in my case, by not having hired one of the two, it will not be possible to obtain this pit lane pass therefore this offer will be fruitless. " The chicken and the egg " syndrome.

But thanks for the offer anyway, hopefully I am wrong and this will still work it self out.

Regards.

Rob

You are welcome to do drive throughs my garage, as long as you have a pit pass

Not a chance Dave, as you said, Gup hates all import so unless I build a blown SLR Tori by than, there will be no garage.

Well if im not mistaken dont you own a mental 32? Might be able to get one if you are lucky.

Saying that Gup hates all things imports especially ones that smoke the big V8 boys :)

i would have driven down if it wasn't those dates, going to the forum battle at Calder park on those dates. is power cruise only on once a year?

Powercruise is once a year in Sydney, although you can always attend the next one in MEL or BNE.

I am doing the cruises and drags and if time permitting dyno.

    • How dare you sell your unreliable Skyline and buy a reliable, Toyota/Yamaha car with a strong gearbox, torsen LSD and Toyota reliability. At least you won't need to worry about oil pumps, big catch can, oil restrictors, blowing off power steering belts, sheering off 3rd gear, failing ABS relays/pumps, etc.
    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
