ok for all those om my list - who ever brings an un guarded 32 is going to lose it . I need parts for mine :P

you have been warned :)

weather for sunday looks ok . I will have a 32 on display as a discussion piece as well. thanks to its owner for lending it to me for the week.

Paul Ruzic,

bring yours.

thanks to those that attended :)

one silver R33 driver learned somthing about his car and the rest learned about theft and siren placement.

I'll do an open invite one at some point.

for those that were there - this is what I was talking about.

------

Mounting - The Australian Standard states “where practicable, all components of the

VSAS (alarm) shall be concealed”. This means you cannot see it or grab hold of it !

Remember concealment is the key to a good security system installation. Since

most installers mount the brain module under the dash near the fuse box, that’s

exactly the first place a thief would look.

Remember that a security system is only as good as the installation. As installers,

we have a moral obligation to the customer to perform installations with the security

of the vehicle in mind, rather than what is easiest for us. Therefore, choose a more

secure location, in an area that requires the removal of several panels to gain access. As Australian Standards approved products are programmed via the ignition input the control module can be completely

hidden. The only internal jumpers on some models control door polarity or a turbo

function and these should be set prior to installation.

--------------

find an installer that does that correctly irrelevant of alarm make and you are on a winner.

for those that lost cars with alarms on them - this was the down fall.

    • So either way it is gearbox out and look what is wrong?  I know about the input shaft bearing. Even before swap/new clutch the it sounded exactly like this: So is that inout shaft bearing or the other was installed backwards?  And can some please tell me the part number for that input shaft bearing? The gearbox is small box from R34 N/A and number is FS5W71C. Thank you
    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
