Brake Fluids

bout to put new brake lines on the 32 and gonna be flushing the system with all new fluid,

wats the best fluids to use for street and track use and wats working for people out there!!!

i've been searching the forum up and down and cant find a conclusive answer so all responses are going to be a help

Im not an expert mate but am lead to believe a dot5 fluid is the best as it can handle more heat before boiling brand wise unsure whats best but id imagine any dot 4 or 5 fluid would be up to the job. Ask few of your local brake specialists see what they recommend mate

I've been running the motul RBF 600 for street & track without an issue. Except its all street at the moment.

Just remember to flush correctly when changing fluids, this is a DOT 4.x I believe

EDIT: I'm not sure if your supposed to do this or not...the motul I bought is from a bike shop

Dot 5 is silicon based and cant be used. Use dot 4 or 5.1. I used to use the Motul 600, but i'm now using the Nulon "super dot 4 extreme performance". Its rated to 280 degrees (so not as high as the motul, which is rated to 310) but its less than half the price and you can get it anywhere.

someone was selling bottles of motul in classifieds here for 25$...or u can get it at autobahn for 40$

I used it, even though its expensive i figured how often do u really change brake fluid anyway.. I bought 2 bottles but I still have 1 left, 500ml should fill your whole system...

alright so pretty much anything that is dot 4 or dot 5.1 brand isnt really an issue, how often should i be changing the fluid

It will say what to use on the yellow cap of the Brake Master Cylinder...

From memory it was DOT 3 but best check.

motul 600 or the 660 i found it works the best at extreme temps,i tried alot of them over the years,just make sure u dont mix the motul stuff with any other brake fluids so replace the whole lot u will need 2 x 500ml bottles
