Ive pointed Yavuz to this thread incase he has any input on anything in here. He was flat out today (no surprise there) so not sure if he will join SAU or not

as i pointed out its not a critism, just an observation of a posible oversight. 100% differrent ramps even the start point is differrent.

unigroup is very well regarded and whever we get asked for a good place to get a nistune or whatever in syd we send em that way.

Yeah no dramas Trent, I wasn't referring just to your comments - it's all good! :)

Joe they had an SR on there today, then a super old school Alfa making something like 120rwhp - once they've done yours, there's a hillclimb we should discuss on the 19th Feb....

The boat is going in for the new/old QF45 throttle body and pipe work soon, I might (will) do Injectors and rail at the same time.

E85 is on the backburner for a while though, , kids teeth come first, apparently

Whens the head due in ?

Head, not sure. When it gets here. It's been 12 months so a few more wont hurt! Haha

Given yours a bit of stick yet?

Whooo 120rwhp!! lol

Paul was telling me about the hill climb so fingers crossed the car is done by then,..will have to put 6L in the sump and i dont like my chances of keeping up with u guys lol, car should be with Yavuz early next week

If i knew you and Paul were out there today i would have popped around, did sweet F#ck all today

I went out the back of work and hit it up a bit, not much really, rolled on second and pushed third till about 5000rpm (dont tell the MPs), nice smooth delivery but much pedal manipulation and steering correction was needed, thats about it for now, Wakie in March is going to be the real test.

Though Im still undecided on the new track tyres, will most likely just use the new Hankooks which isnt ideal but they should be fine for a couple of sessions of sprints.

Fingers crossed.

    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
    • I feel there must have been a FB/insta post and the weekend did not start well at all I hope everyone is all okay
