The high 20's mark is the go soon, my bro works for an importer in brissy, there getting a stack of 34's in in the next few months, i'l be able to hook u guys up for under 30g for a 34, no cars here now but soon

Yep I agree with these prices. I have been looking for quite a while at different 4dr options and a 4dr R34 GTT should be had/landed/complied for high 20s (when 4dr compliance for R34s becomes available that is). The price will come down from what it is now, but under SEVS they will never became a plentiful as R33s which is good if you like a bit of uniqueness.

Well looks like we'll just have to wait and see...the prices have definately dropped compared to when I bought my car 2 years ago....but back then it was almost possible to count the number of 34's in the country on your fingers and toes:D

Naturally Aspirated R34 Skyline's are certainly dropping in price, and i think they will drop further, at the end of the year i belive they'll be around $23,000.

hmmm ... well I am looking at paying about mid 30's for a beaut example of a R34 GT-T... but reading this thread has made me rethink that *slightly*

how about we put up a poll and see what people's opinions are. I personally belive due to the limited number of the R34's (compared to the R33's), combined with the fact that the JDM market is not responding as well as expected to the new generation Skyline, and therefore are still holding onto their R34's longer than anticipated, this will keep the prices up around the low to mid 30's.

Or ... I could be wrong. Who knows. Thoughts? :headspin:

  • 2 weeks later...

i have had 2 x r33 's the r34 shits all over the r33.

there are fu$k all r34's basically no one is importing them and they are a sought after hard to get sports car.

lets put it in a nutshell, you can get a stock commodore for 34 k or a nice 34gt I know what i want, and thats wht I got, not a common run of the mill everyone has one wrx, but a unique r34 gtt 4ws 323nm of torque 34.

thanks for coming.

that's importing, and that's the advantage of importing. cheaper cars. but to get a LOCAL R34 GT-T manual for less then $35K, you're going to have to be VERY patient. Just check every local interent listing, autotrader.com.au, carpoint.com.au, carsales.com.au, drive.com.au, can't think of any others. Nothing under $35K for a manual GT-T, maybe even nothing under $36K.

and the under negotiation status? i might have something to do with that

hey skippy that post for jspec is a joke man, thats how they get you in, They said they want around 29k for the 34 complied and landed.....PLUS you have to pay for new tyres thats $1000.00 for good rubber, then registration fees$1400.00 plus their $1000.00 "service fee" suddenly the car is up to 33 grand onroad.... good luck you buy without seeing the car, has it got any accident damage? i guess you have to take the word of the importer...

oh and u pay alot less for an auto than u do a manual...

and even still for a N/A

If the gt-t was a manual it would be in the 30's

I rekon R34 Manual 25GT-t prices won't drop much, but R34 25GT N/A and Auomatic Skylines will decrease dramatically in the next two or three years, $20,000 or under.

    • Ok, just the way you wrote it made it look like you had the stagger the wrong way around
    • I was getting anxious with the DVLA not knowing if the paperwork is fine or not, so I rang them. No update had been given, but I  was reassured that providing the box was ticked on the V750 then the application will go through fine. I've been checking the DVLA website pretty much every day, in the hope that it would have been done. Fast forward to Monday 29th  and I was greeted with a new screen on the check, and it finally showed as Taxed and MOT'd, woohoo! The car was in desperate need of a clean, not knowing when this day was coming it was put off. As far as I was concerned I had another 3 weeks  I'm not normally one for using snow foam, but I wanted to give it another try It hasn't cleaned up too bad considering it's 21 years old and lived on a boat for a number of weeks. The personalised number plate is J2 XBK, an illegally spaced number plate would have it read J2X BK. BK could either represent  the colour black or Baker, which is my surname. I filmed the first drive, the Youtube link will be at the end. I used the same driving route I did with the 323F V6 when I had a new exhaust installed, heres a couple of photos A few more since then Youtube video can be viewed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TjkFHPzjGDw
    • Thank you, 100% the intent. New coils were due and the 17" sixers look/feel loads better than the stock wheels. The aero options are so spot on.   Thanks for the warm welcome, all!
    • 98 r34 gtt Been rocking my latest setup and car running like never before. Have put a good 200 miles on it since all the latest changes and additions. everything is dialed in and have been driving it a bunch.   However, all a sudden last weekend as soon as I pushed throttle passed 4k and the engine stumbles, (slow or fast acceleration) hesitates and doesn’t go above 4100 or so, like a misfire. Everything else seems fine. I had a “good” set of coil packs that I removed from car when I first got it when I changed them over to new coils. I swapped out current ones for those, but no change. I also changed the plugs, no change. Seems to rev over 4 when out of gear with no load just fine no “misfire”, but as soon as its in gear with a load of any kind, it “misfires” as soon as rpm drop back below 4 k it runs perfectly, smooth, starts, restarts and drives fine as long as I keep it below 4 k while in gear. All readings look fine, no CEL   Any idea as to what could all a sudden cause an issue when pushing rpms passed 4 k?
