hi guys, i've been reading the stagea forums for a while after buying a silver m35 2 months ago, made the decision to buy it as the daily drive ever since i saw Craig's(jetwreck) black fat cow lol.

however, i have a supercharged 350z which (with big thanks) Craig and Alex installed for me, do you guys mind if i take her to the strip to see some numbers? hoping for somewhere in the 13s.

i can also ask to see if anyone from the Z club is interested too and make it a Stag v Z drag day haha. i think it will be a pretty even playing field and the FI nature of the Stags might even give you guys an upperhand in terms of modding for the drags.

black fat cow will be the car to beat i reckon

Nick imo your more than welcome!

We will have to line up the Nismo broad minded person's (350z and M35) and give em a go!.....might have to put the e-manage and injectors back in first! I think you'll be more than surprised....I recon you'll crack a 12 easy!........just watch your mirrors......like my wife says "your a slow starter but fast finisher Craigos!".....pfffft like she would remember!

P.S. Only guy I want to beat is Alex is his poofy Silver poverty pack! :P.....we will see how his car goes after this weekends install....turbo's going on his the glass bottom motor!

P.S.S. >>>>>>>goes out to garage to start the fat cows Jenny Craig weight loss program!ph34r.gif

Hey stop bagging out our VQ35DE...S and T! im sure there's motors with weaker bottom ends... the other guy with the supercharger Z got 13.5 at WSID, so thats what im aiming for i guess, hopefully autos are faster at the drags/minimizes driver errors.

so ur going all out to get into then 12s eh? maybe take out the spare tyre and boot linings etc to shed a few kilos in a week or money back from Jenny  .

so far the nitto invos are great, not losing traction as much as before, and are soooooooo much quieter than the ku36s, I don't feel like im driving a friggin tank the whole time anymore

AND THE TREADS LOOK WICKED!

Back in ya Box!rolleyes.gif

The way things are going, I'm not going to be going down the track - won't have a tune. But could wreck it for others by covering track with oil and conrods...ph34r.gif

I won't be able to make it for this, but you guys should have fun out there.

Just FYI, SAU-NSW had a private drag day a few months back (September 18th), and we'll be having another one this year on June 2nd.

Because we hire the track exclusively, we get a whole day's worth of runs instead of just a few hours, and later in the day you can literally go out and do as many consecutive runs as you want. Charlie (NXTIME on here) and another guy on a motorbike would not even bother going back to pick up their time-slips - they'd do a run and come straight back out, turn around after going under the tower, and line up again straight away!

I personally did 8 runs over the span of the day (with a best of 13.8) and Charlie and the guy on the bike must have done 20+ runs each...

Here's the wrap-up thread: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/377530-saunsw-drag-day-wrap-up-thread/

    • Hi...so a "development" here aswell The swap is "done" and car went "test drive" BUT it seems the clutch(maybe gearbox?) is a little bit sad? I bought this clutch kit https://justjap.com/products/xtreme-heavy-duty-organic-clutch-flywheel-kit-nissan-skyline-r31-r32-r33-push-type "Problem" is that the first gear is hard to put into and it seems that the clutch is not disengaged. It was not the problem with the old clutch...(or like sometime the first gear would not get as easy specialy when the fluid was cold) So? Can it be like...bad "install" or is the clutch wrong ((it should not have been) i done research to get the right one) Or is this "normal" with new clutch and needs to be break in?
    • @Duncan I can try  and thanks i did not thought about VIN and part numbers for 33/34. @GTSBoy yeah it looks like iam gonna do that
    • Forgot to include this but this is the mid section of my steering rack that looks like it has a thread/can be turned with that notch mentioned in the post:
    • Hey everyone, Wanted to pick some brains about this issue I'm having with rebuilding my 33 rack (PN is 49001-19U05). All of the tutorials/videos I've seen online are either R34 or S Chassis racks which seem to be pretty straightforward to disassemble but this process doesnt carry over to my rack. Few of the key differences that I've noted The pinion shaft on the other racks bolt on with 3 torx bolts: Whereas my rack bolts on with 2 allen head bolts: These changes are pretty inconsequential but the main difference is how you pull the actual rack out of the housing. The other skyline/s chassis racks can be taken out by tapping the rack out of the body with a socket and it just slides right out. I'm unable to do that with my rack because there's a hard stop at the end that doesn't let the seal/shaft be tapped out. Can also see a difference in the other end of the rack where mine has a notch that looks like you're able to use a big wrench to unthread 2 halves of the rack whereas the other racks are just kinda set in with a punch. My rack: Other racks: TLDR; Wanted to know if anyone has rebuilt this specific model of steering rack for the R33 and if there were any steps to getting it done easier or if I should just give this to a professional to get done. Sorry if this post is a bit messy, first one I've done.
    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
