Police from the Fawkner Highway Patrol picked up six drink drivers in Travancore this morning as well as an offence not usually seen during traffic intercepts.

An operation targeting drink drivers travelling up Mount Alexander Road after a celebratory night out in the city detected a 27-year-old Cobram man with an alleged BAC of 0.149.

His 27-year-old passenger from Strathmerton was also arrested when he exited the vehicle and decided to go to the toilet next to a nearby bus stop.

Unfortunately the man was so drunk he was not able to maintain his balance at the time and fell back.

He was subsequently issued with two penalty notices, one for drunk and one for offensive behaviour.

Other offences detected included:

• An unlicensed 20-year-old woman from West Footscray who allegedly blew 0.154

A 30-year-old P-Plater from Jacana who allegedly blew 0.127

• A 48-year-old woman from Pascoe Vale who allegedly blew 0.057

• A 22-year-old Melbourne man who allegedly blew 0.067

• A 45-year-old man from Roxburgh park who allegedly blew 0.150 and also received a penalty notice for drunk

• An 18-year old male P-Plater from Fawkner who allegedly blew 0.028 (with a license requirement of zero BAC)

A 60-year-old male from North Melbourne was also issued with a penalty notice due to a passenger travelling with a six-year-old child on their lap.

Police remind the public that a significant number of operations are in place today targeting 'morning after' drink drivers and other traffic offences.

Hahaha...

They didn't exactly say what happened... ...But you know that the divi-van had to be washed out this morning...

Part of the link at the top is "right in the poo" so that should explain it lol, also he was given a penalty notice not arrested, shitting his pants may have saved him from a night in the cells!

30 year old P plater? Are the penalties for drunk driving on P's higher than for those unlicensed? Not that I ever would but just wondering if the system is perhaps unfair in this regard.

it might have changed as this was 7-8 years ago now but a mate of mines brother and step dad both got caught same year his brother unlicensed as in never held one got a fine that was it his step dad got fine, lost licence and drink driving course apperantly if you have held a licence you know the rules better

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
