KamikazeR33
the rb30 bottom end felt like 150kgs - could be less tho Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/39289-rb-weight/#findComment-798975 Share on other sites
Warpspeed
Just sat an assembled RB25 short block on the bathroom scales, 92Kg. With head and accessories, 150 might not be a bad guess. knore
the entire RB25 out of the car would have to be atleast 400-500kg+ The body of R33 is fairly light, its panels with carpet covering them Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/39289-rb-weight/#findComment-799981 Share on other sites
Clint32
the entire RB25 out of the car would have to be atleast 400-500kg+ The body of R33 is fairly light, its panels with carpet covering them sorry dont think so, as warpspeed said bottom end assambled is 92 kgs which would be about right as 2 people can lift it reasobaly esily, compete engine would be 200kgs max i will weigh mine when i put if back in the car in a few weeks Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/39289-rb-weight/#findComment-800424 Share on other sites
browny
FYI I have weighed a Holden 6cyl engine. With gearbox, carbs , starter etc it was about the 250kg mark. I reckon an RB25 wouldn't be too different. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/39289-rb-weight/#findComment-800982 Share on other sites

browny
The RB20 gearbox isnt anything like 100kg. Probably more like 40kg....I can lift one no probs and i'm no muscle man. wrxhoon
dont forget the rb26 box is a lot heavier because it has the transfer case ( for the 4wd ) with it so the rb20 + 25 will be a lot lighter .the 230 kg also includes inlet, exhaust manifolds , turbos , alternator , starter, steering pump but not air cond pump . i havent weighed an sr20 but it should be around 130 for the turbo , dont forget you have 2 cil less and alloy block , the rb 26 block weighs about 60kg. mambastu
CA18DET's are around 130kg's, SR20DETS are around 150kgs and I reckon the RB25's are are probably around 190 to 200 kgs. I've just fitted one to my RS13 (had a CA originally) and the total weight has gone up by 70kgs Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/39289-rb-weight/#findComment-802406 Share on other sites
R31Nismoid
RB20's are around 150kg's RB25's are 180-200kg's cant rememer exactly. Obviously if you change turbo/manifold then that's going to change.
