Firstly- YES I am a girl and NO I have NOT smashed my R32...

I've done: some touch parking up to a caravan tow ball, misjudged where the garden sleepers were actually located and nose scraped on some badly designed driveways.

All in all the bumper has never been ripped off or left abandoned on the freeway, I'd say so far so good... :-)

There are cracks in the gel coat because I can see the fibreglass inside.

Oh and I think the bumper lining is farked because it's really wobbly and rubbing on the front left wheel.

Hang on, let me get pics :-)

My question is what is the best way to fix this?

Will a good spray painter do it or is it a job for a smash repairer?

PLEASE HELP!post-78769-0-37181700-1330667130_thumb.jpgpost-78769-0-59890200-1330667148_thumb.jpgpost-78769-0-26288700-1330667169_thumb.jpgpost-78769-0-70097900-1330667189_thumb.jpg

oh my jesus ! new front bar + spray ?

Yeh Brylie, I see what you're talking about & I'm with ^him^. Maybe post up the vehicle model year etc & go SHOPPING for a good 2nd hand front bar. Once it is in your possession take it & the rest of your ride to an auto spraypainter to color match & fit.

Cheers GW

Or maybe this will do for starters?

No offence mingy, but we're two totally different trades. Repair work and paint work are carried out by separate people most of the time now days. Being that the bar is fibreglass the cracks will go on forever under the gel coat. It can be repaired although the best and cheapest option in the long run, will be replace the bar. If you repair it, you run the risk of missing cracks that hidden within the fibreglass. Speaking from experience (I've got a mate who 'touch' parks a bit!) its only a matter of time before the little hair cracks start to appear again. All the best with it Brylie

Thanks everyone, some good advice for both options.

I found this one, same as mine on ebay http://www.ebay.com....#ht_1989wt_1037

Probably easier to just get it new and have it sprayed. Maybe?

And for those that asked, it's a R32 Gtst 1991

Anyone know a good spray painter in the SE Melb area?

    • Cats are called Bella, and Donna...  Like that poisonous plant And I remember your 2 monsters, I remember making a little bit of wee when you let them out... LOL I have already installed cat doors into the laundry where their kitty litter is, and the sun room, apart from the cat doors there's not going to be any permanent mounted stuff on the interior walls (interior doors are cheap and easy to replace) I will get a outdoor cat cage thingie once I finish the landscaping out back... https://catnip.com.au/ The only off limit areas are the main bedroom and the gym room....but, currently the cats are curled up in bed, in the main bedroom with the Mrs.....LOL, the off limits for the kittens to the main bedroom lasted about 5 minutes with Jackie I currently only have 1 free standing huge cat tree multiple level scratching post thingie in the lounge room, but, I will be getting another one soon now that I'm happy with the furniture layout in the back room and have a perfect spot for it
    • All of this is making it seem clear that running the Coppermix twin was definitely the way to go, especially in hindsight with how insane tariffs have gotten and the strength of the USD vs yen at the time.
    • That sounds like no chance of even importing one for road registering then Now I see why Duncan wants to check LHD rules for Targa...   I wonder how "bolt in" the AWD would be if you got one imported from the US and swapped it to an AUD one
    • Not to mention they drive like a bucket of bolts! yuck!
