I have just been blocked from posting on the Silvia site because I brought to the attention of other members my unbelieveable experiences with a SILVIA AND SKYLINE expert at UNDERWOOD in BRISBANE.I had over 30 PM'S from members who had had similar problems with this company. My point is if the moderator was got at by this company surely I should have had the opportunity for my say as 100% of what I said was right and could have been backed up by the expert on the Coast who fixed many of the problems,if the company is a sponsor of the site surely it would be better to get rid of a dodgy sponsor rather than gag a member who is trying to warn fellow members and who had many fellow members with similar dramas to back up the post.

Nissansilvia.com is a great site for mainly silvia owners but other cars aswell as this is a great site for skyline owner and such so don't go trying to start a forum war...ThanX

You should always try to keep those sorts of things to pm...as said previously liability reasons and such..

It doesnt matter what site is involved if you are speaking the truth you should be consulted before such drastic measures are taken, also I never directly mentioned the name on the post and this company advertises every week to be SILVIA and SKYLINE experts so why wouldnt I post on the Skyline site as well? I personally have got great enjoyment from both sites up till now.

no one will really know if he is telling the truth.. im not saying anything against anyone just that some one mite not like the owner of the business for personal reasons and to get em back the person mite want to ruin their business. also with all the sueing going on i wouldnt be suprised if shit hit the fan and someone lost a lot of money.

i don't agree with what they have done, but perhaps you shouldn't have mentioned names in a public area - keep names etc to PM's/emails....the owners of the site could be held responsible for lost bussiness etc if what is said is not 100% true (not that i doubt your experiances) :(

rbs13;Mate no one has sued anyone ,I am telling the truth,as far as trying to ruin their business ,I dont have to worry about that, because their own business ethics and other people who they have not done the right thing by who tell their mates, the problem will eventually solve itself!!!!!!

    • just an update to this, poor man pays twice  Tried sanding down the pulleys but it didnt do the trick. Chucked another second hand alternator in the na car which I got for free off my mate and its fixed the squelling. Must have been unlucky with the bearings.    As for my turbo car, I managed to pick up a cwc rb alternator conversion bracket + LS alternator for 250 off marketplace, looked to be in really good nick. Installed it , started the car and its not charging the battery.... ( Im not good with auto elec stuff so im not sure if this was all I needed to do but I verified such by using a multimeter on the battery when the engine was running and I was only getting 12.2v )   I had to modify the earth strap for the new LS alternator , factory earth strap was a 10mm bolt which did not fit the bolt on the LS alternator which was double the size so I cut it off , went to repco bought some ring terminals that fit, crimped it onto the old earth strap and bolted it up to the alternator , started the car and same issue. Ran like shit and was reading 12.2 at the battery.  For a "plug and play" advertised kit thats not very plug and play but alas.  My question is , am I missing something ? Ive been reading that some people recommend upgrading the stock 80 amp alternator fuse to a 140 amp but I dont see how that would stop the alternator charging especially at idle not under load.  Regardless ive pulled it out and am going to get it bench tested by an auto elec tomorrow but it would be handy to know if ive missed something silly or have done something wrong.
    • My wild guess is that you have popped off an intake pipe....check all of the hoses between the turbo and the throttle for splits or loose clamps.
    • Awesome, thanks for sharing!
    • To provide more specific help, more information is needed. What Android screen? What is its wiring diagram? Does the car's wiring have power at any required BAT and ACC wires, and is the loom's earth good?
    • So, now all you need to do is connect the 2 or 3x 12v feeds into the unit to permanent 12v, ACC 12V and IGN 12V that you can find in the spot behind the stereo, and the earth, and then it will switch on with the car.
