Hi guys and gals,

Just letting you know, the 2nd Sprint Round for MC Motorsport is coming up. 22nd April.

Hoping to see more Skylines out there! So far there are only 4 of us among the 60odd competitors.. If you would like to have a go, come along - you don't have to have race car spec. Bring your street car and have some fun.

Here is the course we'll be running this time:

I'm tossing up whether to attend this or the WASCC Tuning Day on the Monday.

Mate, you'll be doing No Limits on the 19th..! why go over the ssssame old corners at Barbagallo again.. mix it up! Not as fast, but more technical at RAC venue..

Yes Richard this is more you, though the Targa track layout is going to to be the one you want most I bet.

I'd like to do all of the events, but I need to do my Observed License Test at Wanners, and the Tuning Day may be my only option.

Well can't argue with that. You have get that license, be great if you can make to the sprint though, love hearing that thing howl!

This time I'm going to try get some decent videos and photos to post up

How do you enter these events? Is it just a rock up with correct equipment, pay and compete or do you need to register, etc?

Good Question. I've attached the entry form which also has the supp regs in it. You need to email/fax this in and would want to get it in pretty quick before spots fill up. There are 30 entries in the morning session and 30 in the arvo. (we go in the arvo normally)

You'll need either a AASA Club Licence or a CAMS Level2s licence. Not much to either of them except filling out a form and paying money. They last for 12 months. The AASA is far easier and so I've linked to it below. Its about $50 bucks for the year.

All you really need on the day is an appropriate helmet, long sleeves and long pants, closed shoes. You also are supposed to have a 1kg fire extinguisher in the car which is about the only 'hassle' you have to sort out once. Generally its easy to make a bracket that fits under the passenger seat rail bolts for example. Pretty easy.

Once you have the licence and the helmet etc - you're pretty much good to go to enter lots of other events including No-Limits nights at Barbagallo and that sort of thing.

Anything you need help with, feel free to PM me - I'd be glad to help.

Good work Matt thumbsup.gif

But I would add, get the CAMS license, pretty sure Nolimits don't take the AASA, and if you want to do events like Macrae RallySprints etc some of them want 2x1kg or 1x2kg extinguishers so I'd just mount a 2kg and your ready for anything..

Good to see some interest on here wave.gif

Just took my entry down today for the arvo session, and there are still spots left, but not many I would think, especially since the NoLimits Event on the 19th has bee cancelled..

PS why has the youtube clip I had embeded now become a full screen shot, since the website was updated?? can anyone in admin. put it back the way it was?

gonna try get up to perth to watch this and hear some RB goodness!!

goodluck lads

edit: is the address on the map where the track is located or just company address?

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.
    • My Nismo 1.5 churps a bit on reverse turns when cold, but besides that feels like a stock diff.
    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts
    • Bunnings would have just handed you your money back on that one!
    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
