I went to wsid on last week, ran 12.01 @ 120..5 mph, couldnt get traction off the line with only 2.0 60 ft.

Let tyres down and then got a1.6 60ft but clutch would not hold. Was hoping for an 11 but this was on 19s with mega stiff coil overs.

Will fit 4.11s one day and retune for 30 psi on e85 one day to try for 10s, currently on 21 psi on 98. Any ideas what else i can do ?

What does the mph reflect on current potential and power output? What times could be expected from an r34 gtr with this mph?

get rid of the 19s trust me go 17 or 18s , you will shave off some time straight away , try go for some M/T street slicks , this will improve your time.

with a better 60ft you would of been in the 11s so you can expect a minimum 11.5, guessing you got 300-400awks ?

it has 371kw @ wheels running -10 turbos on only 21psi, does the mph support this?

I have a nismo twin plate but that didnt seem up to the task and will need to put some sticky tyres on the stock rims.

Need to pull the engine out to change a few things tho so might not happen for a while. What clutch is recommended?

19s are hopeless for drag conditions imo,ive tried it and learned the hard way sure some guys are getting good times but what kind of hp are they producing?

if they were to race again with 17" rims on sticky tyres they would get an even better time, all i know is when i changed down to a smaller tyre my time improved and then improved once again once i switched to semi slicks, all this matters when it comes down to chasing the the absolute best time your car can achieve. your wheel and tyre combo will also determine mph,i was getting a better mph with 19s eg 133mph now im getting something like 125 mph

personally i think going big wheels and street tyre to the track is a waste of time.

Normally, I would agree with the above, however, you said that you managed to get a 1.6 60ft with lower tyre pressure but your clutch slipped.

If you manage a full run with a 1.6 60' you will get into the mid 11's. However, this might prove diffcult to always replicate.

Either way, as stated already, smaller diameter tyres with grippier tyres will definitely improve your times, And with more power, a 10 is definitely possible.

Coppermix twins are rated at somewhere around 470kw, so its probably just worn out rather than not up to the task. Rebuild time.

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
