Well the time has come for me to move on.

The car a a genuine R model, with factory Recaro Seats, Bigger sway bars and around 100kgs lighter tha the base model twin turbo.

Selling due to it not suiting my needs in a car and I dont want to hack the car up as the R models are getting rather thin on the ground these days

It is a 91 model

MV Autos Built A340E 4 speed auto, with 2800rpm stall converter, upgraded clutches and bands and is approx 18 months old, has been behind a dead standard 1JZ its whole life, so it has never raised a sweat, hasnt seen the drag strip either, has a trans cooler fitted and the MV autos shift box (can run as a manualised auto) Worth $4500 alone!

17" Enkei WRC tarmac EVO forged wheels

BIG PWR alloy radiator and twin 12" thermo fans

Custom airbox and K&N Pod filter

3" Fujisubo-Giken cat back exhaust, car still has stock dump and mid pipe fitted

Rego until the 30th of May

Has a CD player and a 4 channel amp, and an Alpine Sub in a box

Blitz Dual SBC Spec - S boost controller wired in, but the solenoid is not plumbed into the turbos

Brakes and Shocks were all replaced approx 12 months ago, so new front rotors and pads, new shocks in the front with King Springs.

Now...why is it so cheap?

The paint isnt fantastic, a few car park dings and the bonnet has faded

The main reason is the motor needs a rebuild, still runs smoothly and is quiet, but blows smoke.

Not exactly sure what is wrong with it (spent many houra head scratching), I get the feeling it is just worn out after 21 years of use.

Will need new rear tyres (car passed rego with these tyres 2 months ago, but the left rear is on the wear markers

I had big plans for this car, but I just dont have the time or money to get it the way I wanted, so my loss can be your gain!

Now the important part....the photos

Would have to have a look through the recipts, was on teh car when I bought it.

I have a feeling it was ESP Racing in Queanbeyan though

Thanks, It will be hard for me to sell, as I do like the car a lot

Well engine checked out fine....blown turbo though

A certain well known Local workshop talked a bunch of shit regarding the motor.....definately not getting any of my business

So withdrawing the car from sale...unless I get the right offer on it...as always everthing has a price.

Thanks for looking

Admoderators (yes I made up a word....new slang for administrators/moderators lol) Please close and remove my number from the 1st post.

    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
    • I feel there must have been a FB/insta post and the weekend did not start well at all I hope everyone is all okay
