Not sure of my diff ratio but I think its standard, just under 8000rpm in 5th,265,35,18 kumhos, best run was 271km/h was averaging in the 260s.

Yep, my tyre is a bit taller too.

With this turbo it makes 565kW atw wheels on 36psi, I was on 29psi in 4th which is about 480kW and 22psi is just under 400kW.

The stones were no where near as bad at Temora,Im not laying crap on the event, just saying it was bad.Alot of the cars entered are beautiful street cars and thats a definate turn off.

I totally agree.

Thanks again for the feedback. We had a number of people say Temora was worse, some said Cooma was worse. Either way, we are fixing it, thats the difference

565Kw,is that all, lol!!!Man that is wild. And is that a four cylinder?Adam gets them going hey.Shame you werent at Temora as you would have givin the front runners a scare.I was coming 4th outright up until the last round but ended up sixth with only slightly under 400Kws,although AWD definately helped me.You youtube clips are cool(other than the stones)my incar ones on the as well under Temora 1000 if you want to checkout.Remember im an old dude but I try my best.Anyhow you should be proud of how you went,I think you should come to Temora next year, kick some arse and I will shout you a beer.

Did you race at Cooma, Because I am pretty sure you weren't on the entry list?

Hey Roy,at the moment my exhaust could definately be improved.I used to build custom exhausts and extractors for many cars including a couple of "B" grade V8 supercars so ive got a bit of knowledge. The outlet on my single turbo is 3" which is the size of the dump pipe,in my opinion it should flare out to 3.25 or 3.5 but its reasonable. It runs to a smashed out 3" cat(which I did not do)which again is too small. From there on is 3.5 stainless system,of course all straight through. Some time next year im going to build a better system for it.The new system will be made out of mild steel as its always quieter, and the packing in the mufflers never lasts as long as the stainless pipe and muffler housing,so really stainless is just for show. The only real way to test your exhaust is to drill a hole in it,say just in front of the cat and hook up a pressure gauge. If it moves at all, that means backpressue, and that means power loss, especially on turbo cars.Sorry to ramble on but this has been a passion for both me and my Dad for years now.We have also developed a variable exhaust system using butterflies actuated by adjustable pressure sensors,so you can have the best of both worlds and get rid of that annoying highway drone.Remember your exhaust is just as important as any other performance part on your car,but Im sure you know that, cheers mate

A customer of mine James (fitted Xspurt 2000's to it just before it's last tune) owns the Supra that managed 308kph terminal speed. Unsure how much power it was putting down as there are bugger all dyno's down here that will measure over 700-800kw at the rears. Shame he couldn't get any traction, almost the whole way down the runway. :P

Definitely a bonus to those with AWD...

    • Sorry to hear your HFM BM57 was faulty,  did you contact HFM I would hope they would be at least grateful for the information if there was some sort of manufacturing fault, you would hope they would be sympathetic even if your item was 2 years old if it had never been fitted. May I ask where it leaked from ?
    • Cats are called Bella, and Donna...  Like that poisonous plant And I remember your 2 monsters, I remember making a little bit of wee when you let them out... LOL I have already installed cat doors into the laundry where their kitty litter is, and the sun room, apart from the cat doors there's not going to be any permanent mounted stuff on the interior walls (interior doors are cheap and easy to replace) I will get a outdoor cat cage thingie once I finish the landscaping out back... https://catnip.com.au/ The only off limit areas are the main bedroom and the gym room....but, currently the cats are curled up in bed, in the main bedroom with the Mrs.....LOL, the off limits for the kittens to the main bedroom lasted about 5 minutes with Jackie I currently only have 1 free standing huge cat tree multiple level scratching post thingie in the lounge room, but, I will be getting another one soon now that I'm happy with the furniture layout in the back room and have a perfect spot for it
    • All of this is making it seem clear that running the Coppermix twin was definitely the way to go, especially in hindsight with how insane tariffs have gotten and the strength of the USD vs yen at the time.
    • That sounds like no chance of even importing one for road registering then Now I see why Duncan wants to check LHD rules for Targa...   I wonder how "bolt in" the AWD would be if you got one imported from the US and swapped it to an AUD one
    • Not to mention they drive like a bucket of bolts! yuck!
