Alternator Noise

Hi guys,

have this problem with my alternator makings a stange noise like screeching type.

when driving in the day its fine no noise as soon as i start it cold with my lights on u can hear the noise.

the strange part is after 10 min of driiving or less it is gone never to be heard and its coming from there 100%.

any idea what it could be.

could be one of three things, a slipping belt (Most likely) an out of alignment pulley, dead bearings in the alternator

I'd say belt, bearings typically will continue to make noise.

Yea it goes away after 10 min or so, cant even hear it....only loud wen lights are on and car is cold.

when in day time can just hear very tiny bit then gone.

Brushes or bearings are shot.
