Hi all,

Newbie question - do the front and rear wheels need to be the same width for an R32 GTR, or any GTR for that matter?

I'm keeping a sideways eye out for an appropriately priced set of 17" LMGT2's and I understand that they came in 8" and 9" widths. If I came across a set of two 9" and two 8" rims, would they be suitale for rear and front of my car respectively?

Cheers!

Mike

Rolling diameter for ATTESSA cars (e.g. GT-Rs) have to be the same. ATTESA doesn't like different rolling diameters, you'll wear it out a lot quicker as it keeps kicking in. So, the tyre sizes have to be the same.

You can perhaps run the same size on all wheels? I would rather run the same size all round.

In saying that, yes you can run different width tyres, as long as the "rolling diameter" is kept the same on all four tyres.

And having said that......it is so much easier to keep all the rolling diameters the same if you have the same wheels. So don't shoot yourself in the foot. Buy the same wheels all round. Besides which, it looks and works better. The staggered look is for gronks who don't understand that the front wheels do the steering and the braking (and are therefore just as, if not more than, important as the rears.)
