Wtb: V35 Coupe Car Bra

Did a bit of a search and can't seem to find anything,

Doesn't matter if it's used or new, plan on doing a 2000km drive in a few months and would like to protect the front of the car on the way down the coast.

Let me know if you have one or know of where i can find one,

Just buy some clear 3M vinyl wrap and put it on. Car bras suck, as the dirt/stuff that gets under them rubs and can easily/quickly damage the very paint you are wanting to protect.

Plus they're dead set ugly.

I don't really understand the concept - 2000km in one throw is not much different to 20 trips on the freeway which you'd do without thinking twice. I understand even less the people who keep the covers on to protect the car......and take it off for special occasions? It's the equivalent of plastic covers on your couch. Not having a go at you, Sean, just car bras lol.

These are model specific, pre cut. If applied correctly, this will go on invisible - and give you protection ALL the time. Cheaper too, I'd say.

I bought s headlight, fog light and bonnet kit for my last car. They're easy to apply, and looked great.

The only reason i want it is because i have done the trip before at night and i plan on doing it again at that time, when i did the trip from Brisbane to home (roughly 1000km) the front bumper was hammered with bugs and took forever to get off so i guess i'm trying to eliminate that,

The easier (and cheaper) option is to go to town with polish on the front - makes bugs come off easy as. Also a product called FW1 over whatever polish you normally use makes the paint surface like teflon and prevents bugs from sticking.

sorry to say mate your going to get alot more than just bugs on the front.

went from Brisbane-> Rocky 2 months ago, roadworks everywhere (about 15 seperate sites all of them between Gladstone -> gympie).. meaning roadbase, fresh tar and stones. the car was not only compeltly brown from the roadworks, but i now have quite a number of stonechips on the front bar because of the wankers infront of me.

they are doing roadworks right now ( new bridge + re-sealing) as you exit Rocky asewll.

Whaat? These cars are the best sports tourers on the road - they were made for the highway! I live in Canberra and my girlfriend in Adelaide - I'd probably have stuck with a local girl, but any excuse for a good drive... I've also gone Canberra to Gold Coast return twice in the same car when I lived there. Seriously, NO car is an investment and, anyway, the Skyline should be a religion...

Already on 92,000km. It won't affect resale value when i go to sell, the range in these cars is typically between 14-22k and it doesn't move from there.

I will check it out, the only reason i want to drive is because i'm visiting old mates from Newcastle and they want to see my car, i also like the idea of being independant and not having to scab lifts everywhere as i'll be down there for a week.

even though based on your gearbox woes you may no longer be doing this drive, i found this new product on carcareproducts newsletter that would be perfect for what you need.

simply wash car, spray on, remove with high pressure hose

Correct, i have decided i'm going to fly anyway. I don't think i'd be up for the long drive considering things like roadworks & weather (i am paranoid about driving in bad weather) and the fact that it's a very time consuming drive and a lot can go wrong.

Thanks for the information though will come in handy if i do decide to do a trip similar to this one in the future.
