Rules say stay off the track until all cars are off the track in parc ferme. Simple.

Two cars had to dodge the parked Ferrari on the exit of the blind corner.

Webber was running around on the race track in front of one of those cars who had to alter his path to miss both him and the Ferrari.

The other had to go off the track to avoid them.

A reprimand doesn't seem out of order at all.

Well, I will start passing the hat around now to cover the fines Webber is going to be handed at the end of the season when he drops some helis/burnouts in Brazil. It will happen.

I get the rules and what happened. I just find it a bit silly that it is a ten spot penalty for the next GP! And yes I udnerstand its because its his 3rd reprimand. I just went back and looked at the Bahrain clash with Rosberg and its a bit silly that Webebr chopping off Rosbergs nose after he awkwardly placed it up the inside into a disappearing gap and earnt Webber a 10 spot penalty.

Anyway... this is as silly as the fine that Hamo got back at Silverstone a few years ago hecause he dropped a donut or Alonso's fine in Spain the other year when he won!

Also seems the booing of Vettel is here to stay. I would rather it didnt happen but ultimately dont really have a problem with it. Commentators seemingly agree its part his dominance, part his perceived status at RBR but mostly what happened in Malaysia. I guess Karma is a b&$ch!

you would think that there would be mention of Alonso doing 100kph+ with mark there more of a reason to reprimand?

I see no issue with what they did. if they cant dodge an obstacle at 40 - 60 kph how the fark are they expected to when on the noise.

Yeah I was pissed at Webber's penalty until I saw the CCTV footage. That was dumb, stopping just around from a blind corner was dumb. Alonso should have pulled off the track. Webber shouldn't have played frogger with other cars on cooldown lap to get a lift. A reprimand for both drivers is justified IMO.

10 spots is a harsh penalty, Mark seems to cop it from all sides sometimes but it's a consequence of a 3rd reprimand so fair enough. tough luck, son. F1 should be held to the highest standard for all concerned, just because something happened in GP2 doesn't make it OK for F1 to lower its standards. Having said that, some leeway for sportsmanship and showmanship should be given. Schuey used to dance and sing a bit on the podium until some grand poo-bah got their nose out of joint, and drivers used to do a bit of a burnout to celebrate now and then. none of that happens, it's f**king boring yes sir no sir i have a really itchy spot on my forehead by the way did you see the nice big watch i'm flashing in front of the camera (massa is an expert of that move during post-race interviews).

I agree with burnouts at brazil until the tyres pop. it would be so worth it. f**k bernie and his increasingly shitty formula.

I have decided I am going to be one eyed on this! :) Plus, they can say what they want...the fact the FIA have come out this week and said drivers are not allowed to do it anymore tells you the tone of their concerns, irrespective of it being done off in tehy kitty litter or in the middle of the road. Thinking back did Alonso get a fine for collecting the Spanish flag a few years ago after winning in Spain?

I can understand there concerns. I mean hell if he were to fall off he'd be going straight under the rear wheels. The location was a piss poor place to do it and the penalty i think is fair. If they were to fine webber instead that wouldnt solve anything. I mean hell vettell recieved a $1000 fine (was it?) for 9km/h over in the pit lane. He earns that in minuites! How is that due punishment?

Thats like me recieving a speeding fine for $2.50 for 20km/h over out on the street. Shit idd speed around all the time! Ah its only $2.50. I'dd even pay in cash! :D

However that's not to say i didn't enjoy watching it happen!

The sports lost some of its original charm at least from the late 80's to early 90's. That happens of course and there's nothing we can do to change that. However as stated above im all down for f1 ring making on the pit straight! :D

What will happen is that once the stock ECU sees more airflow than it expects it will add a heap of fuel and pull a heap of timing to be safe because it can't understand how it could get that much air without there being an issue. You will see clouds of black smoke and it won't pull hard through the midrange and top end. So, overall it will be a bit frustrating but should be OK. If you are still nervous set the base timing back 2o through the CAS, but it will be even more sluggish everywhere. As said above through...this is not my guarantee your engine won't be blown into a million pieces, leaving you looking for very hard to find parts A better idea is get a computer with logging ASAP, wire in a wide band O2 sensor and a use remote tuner. I've done multiple cars this way and while it is not as good as a specific tune on a dyno they can get it 90% right. I'd suggest if you can afford an R33 GTR these days you can afford an ECU and tune. And if you can't afford that you sure won't be able to afford the rebuild if it goes bad in the meantime,.
    • Yeah it would be nice if someone took the time to put that sort of information together, but there are a lot of variations in looms. I think you are making this way hard for yourself if you just want to get it running....sourcing an SR20 with the right wiring will be a billion times easier than matching the RB loom to an S15 chassis. If you do end up going this way, you just need to trace every wire in the loom with a multimeter, 95% of them will go to a location you can confirm at the ECU.....and then post it up for the next person who needs it
    • Just top it up with water, and keep a general idea of how much you added. It is normal for water to be pushed into and pulled out of the reservoir through the cap, and it should not be more than half full or it will be likely to overflow when hot. Any decent mechanic can do a pressure test of the cooling system to confirm if you have a leak. Keep in mind if it is only leaking a little and when hot it may well evaporate before you see it hit the ground
    • I'd ask the shop what they used and use that. Mixing coolants is sometimes OK, sometimes not, and you have know the details of each coolant to know whether it's a good idea or not.
    • Is it alright to top up with just another green coolant?
