yeah good drives from Bottas, Perez, and Hulkenberg (again). And Grosjean really is looking like he's found his feet in F1 these days.

Vernge again showing his good race pace - despite crap qualifying he was right there at the end fighting with Dan on the last lap before being hit by a mexican...

Man, that race is not only hard to get up for, its also hard to stay awake in

I don't understand how much more impressive Hulk has to be to get a seat worth anything. I'll be bitterly disappointed if that fcuking hack loser Maldonado ends up with a Lotus seat while Nico is left to trundle around for the minor positions again ins a god damn force india

What was with Mark just walking off? LOL, guessing he just wants off the ride asap. Maybe too much that he simply cant match Vettel more than once in 2013

He's turned in to a real dick lately, every answer is just a f**king list of excuses as to why he got destroyed by his team mate in the same car.

Umm, who got the penalty for hatchet racing? I genuinely believe leading up to the RBR announcement about Webbers replacement you could make the argument that JEV should have at least been able to test the car at Silverstone and worthy of the seat

Outside of Dan binning it at Singapore....I cant recall JEV getting near Q3, beating Dan in a race. JEV needs to get his head straight and lift his game and start qualifying better. I think the argument of his racing ability falls under serious scrutiny when a car prves its capable of qualifying 10th and getting a point and you qualify 15th or something and over the course of the race get the car up to 11th which is where the car should have been all along

I've given up on him as far as qualy goes - he just can't do it on those Pirellis. He was apparently a very good qualifier in other series running proper tyres.

As for race results, you might want to go look at the actual results for a reminder about him beating Dan in a race...

Just looked. There was a few retirements in there but since Canada he has beat Dan once in Hungary. I suppose you can say twice if you want to include Japan where he finished one place ahead after Dan got that drive through for overtaking off the road...extra stop and still finishes just behind team mate.

And Singapore after crashing out. 3 points finishes vs 7...I can see why I formed the opinion i did

hmmm, you stick it into JEV for his drive through penalty, and then make excuses for Dan's drive through penalty and want that race not to count... JEV's also retired from a couple of points positions through no fault of his own, which shews the comparison you're making a bit.

But I've given up on him. Since the RBR driver decision, he hasn't done much that's noteworthy. He was on a bit of a streak earlier in the season, since then it's totally dried up. It got to the point where it was remarkably like backing Webber - you just knew you were going to be dissapointed. I'd still back him to beat Dan in the wet though, where this pirelli tyre nonsense isn't a factor and it's goes back to being able to drive on the limit.

F1 needs:

Bigger tyres

Better tyres

Less Aero

Refuelling

Lose the DRS

Let drivers drive the cars hard......not baby the tyres because they are shit

Give the cars more mechanical grip and less aero for closer racing and passing

so long since he's won, it's in black and white! :P

Hulk has signed back with Force India for 2014. Means Maldonardo is almost a dead certanty for Lotus now.

Random, trainspotterish question. Does the amount of money the teams get from the whatever fund depend on their position in the table or the amount of points? So Williams actually scored some points last weekend but are still in the same position. So do they end up with more coin?

Personally, I would be sticking with Sauber over Force India. But obviously he has an idea of strengths of respective teams so doesnt look good for Sauber's prospects next year if Force India appear stronger on paper.

Oh well, say goodbye to any hopes of Lotus having a good year. Maldando will be bending the car that often their factory will be working overtime to keep up with replacement parts let alone develop the car. :(

I guess that means Di Resta is gone as well. Shame as the guy has some spunk and in hindsight McLaren would have been far better taking Di Resta rather than Perez last year. (or Hulk for that matter...still dont get the whole Perez thing unless a big part was potential Mexican coin)

That article said Sauber's financial position is the problem. Looks like the Russian money might fall through. Same goes for Lotus' dubvious sponsorship deals aparently. On performance, I agree with you, Sauber (well, Hulk's Sauber) look stronger than Force India. But that could be down to the drivers a bit too. Sutil's been a bit dissapointing since the comeback I thought and DiResta I'm not a fan of - rate him average at best.

Some are suggesting Perez was only ever a stop-gap measure for McLaren before they brought in their next young gun from within their own program. Sounds plausible considering the Hamilton move was a bit of a surprise and they had to come up with a plan for 2013 pretty quickly.

    • Can I suggest you try EBC directly again and link them to as many competitor catalogues as you can to show their listing is incorrect, eg https://dba.com.au/product/front-4000-series-hd-brake-rotor-dba42304/ If you have access to an R33 GTST VIN and your VIN, you could also use a Nissan Parts lookup like Amayama to show them the part number is different between 33 GTST and 34 GTT which may get their attention
    • So i got reply from EBC and they just this site where you can clearly see those 296mm fronts on R34 GTT. I send them photos and "quotes" that 296mm are not for 34 GTT and they are too small. But it will be very hard to return them cuz nobody here knows 100% and they just copy those EBC catalogue :-D https://ebcbrakesdirect.com/automotive/nissan/skyline-r34
    • Hi, is the HKS  Tower Bar still available ? negotiable ? 🤔
    • From there, it is really just test and assemble. Plug the adapter cables from the unit into the back of the screen, then the other side to the car harness. Don't forget all the other plugs too! Run the cables behind the unit and screw it back into place (4 screws) and you should now have 3 cables to run from the top screen to the android unit. I ran them along the DS of the other AV units in the gap between their backets and the console, and used some corrugated tubing on the sharp edges of the bracket so the wires were safe. Plug the centre console and lower screen in temporarily and turn the car to ACC, the AV should fire up as normal. Hold the back button for 3 sec and Android should appear on the top screen. You need to set the input to Aux for audio (more on that later). I put the unit under the AC duct in the centre console, with the wifi antenna on top of the AC duct near the shifter, the bluetooth antenna on the AC duct under the centre console The GPS unit on top of the DS to AC duct; they all seem to work OK there are are out of the way. Neat cable routing is a pain. For the drive recorder I mounted it near the rear view mirror and run the cable in the headlining, across the a pillar and then down the inside of the a pillar seal to the DS lower dash. From there it goes across and to one USB input for the unit. The second USB input is attached to the ECUtec OBD dongle and the 3rd goes to the USB bulkhead connected I added in the centre console. This is how the centre console looks "tidied" up Note I didn't install the provided speaker, didn't use the 2.5mm IPod in line or the piggyback loom for the Ipod or change any DIP switches; they seem to only be required if you need to use the Ipod input rather than the AUX input. That's it, install done, I'll follow up with a separate post on how the unit works, but in summary it retains all factory functions and inputs (so I still use my phone to the car for calls), reverse still works like factory etc.
    • Place the new daughterboard in the case and mount it using the 3 small black rivets provided, and reconnect the 3 factory ribbon cables to the new board Then, use the 3 piggyback cables from the daughterboard into the factory board on top (there are stand offs in the case to keep them apart. and remember to reconnect the antenna and rear cover fan wires. 1 screw to hold the motherboard in place. Before closing the case, make a hole in the sticker covering a hole in the case and run the cable for the android unit into the plug there. The video forgot this step, so did I, so will you probably. Then redo the 4 screws on back, 2 each top and bottom, 3 each side and put the 2 brackets back on.....all ready to go and not that tricky really.
