R33 Suspension,

Hey guys, sorry if this is a stupid question im just struggling trying to find out.

I just put a bodykit on my r33 and not knowing it was lowered already, it now scraps on everything

Just after ideas of how i can raise the height? I was told coilovers but i dont know to much about them.

There is only 2 ways to do it, ones springs the other is coilovers

you would have to find out if they are adjustable, if so you can set/adjust them to their highest point (still lower than standard). If you dont know how to tell take a wheel off and take a photo of the spring/shock absorber setup and most people here can tell you straight away if they are adjustable. :-)

If they are not adjustable then you will have to buy a new set of either coilovers or even go back to standard/stock. If your bodykit is as low as i think it is you may need to go back to stock :-( (Although it is cheaper than buying a new set of coilovers.

The springs on at the moment are unadjustablr stock that have had coils cuts

if it just has cut springs, then get a set of standard springs put in. but if the kit is much lower than the stock bumpers then it will probably still scrape as you may not raise the car enough

Would adjustable coilovers raise it higher than stock??

Generally not. The highest setting will still usually be lower than stock.

And a car with a bodykit but massive gaps between the wheels and guards generally look a bit silly.
