Meguiars MLS

Edit:

It's not cheap. Metal Life Saver ($39 ?)

You use a light scourer on/off - wear ruber gloves

Then Polish with metal polish

Comes in a pack with all you need including the MLS and All metal polish, gloves, cloth and scourer/applicator.

..........oh and then go through a Hazchem shower :P

I think my car is actually slightly quieter now since my Stock Dump came off and the Bellmouth went on.

Having seen that the original gasket was in 2 pieces makes me think I also had an Exhaust leak.

Slight low rev squeal is gone too. hmmmm....

Fixed stereo in Tokyo taxi. Found some wires touching in the boot.

Was making the volume go up/down and front to back by itself. Weird !

Maybe took a corner or two a bit hard - the sub had shifted (found 2 of 4 screws loose on the floor).

oh and just finished fixing toilet leakage/run on

Instructions say:

Hydrochloric acid, reacts vigorously with alloy. :O

No thanks, it might work well, but one little slip up and ill have stains etched into my polished rim.

Bowdens is working ok but it wont get the stains out.

I realize now that anything strong enough to get those stains off is too dangerous for my liking.

Ill have to use a more mechanical solution: Autosol and wire brush might work.

And ive had to run a file around the back of two rims, to get the dags and sharp edges off.

Yes... taking a hand file to Volks.

Depending on how vigorous a wire brushing you are planning on doing, go the spinny roundy brush on a drill.

Cleaned up ALL the crap inside of my Rims nicely. (can lend if you don't have) :)

Swapped out my adjustable caster rods and camber arms to replace with stock ones.

Raised car to 110mm at the lowest point for vehicle inspection

smaller exhaust hangers to raise exhaust 5mm

Installed child restraint anchors

Degreased/washed ender side of car

installed OEM looking gear knob

Removed Power FC Hand controller

Removed rear wiper/motor and replaced with MFR delete plug

Hopefully thats everything to pass Dickson

Oooh that looks the goods. ;)

Brushes don't last long do they? Brings back some horrible Wheel cleaning memories...

Reminds me, probably should finish that sometime.

found a weird one while searching for a solution

soak aluminium foil in coke or vinegar, and use like sandpaper

I think the coke is for alloy and vinegar for steel, dunno ill try it and find out.

Theres also clay bar, il give that a go but on the cleaner areas.

It seems theres no clear or anything as polishing compound goes black quickly. Ill have to give it a spray with something to protect it after.

Dropped Rosie off at Dyno Tune to get a 5k service and to fix some light bulbs :D Next stop will be breaks, I'll see how next pay goes.

I went through the pits at dickson today and i got knocked back due to not having an "engine tune up sticker" also for not having an english owners manual and i need all the japanese stickers replaced with english stickers.

Does anyone know where to get a tyre placard in english for the r32 gtr?

They also asked for me to provide stock track measurements from nissan

    • Ha ha ha, that's fair mate! We have the crackhead dogs now. Mainly because the missus wants the crazy dogs while she still has the energy and capacity to be able to keep up with them! Ha ha our current two are both Working GSD, there brothers and sisters (from the same litters) are in Police, Corrective Services, and I believe one did end up in defence force too. They're wild and fun, yet right now, both curled up asleep on the lounge room floor while we watch some TV. Mal is very likely the next dog (unless I get my couch potato guardian dog 😛 )   What are your Kitties names? Are you planning some house work, like those high kitty shelves, built in scratching post, and some cat passages from one room to another room?
    • Maine Coone, did look at but to big and fluffy As for performance dogs, we had Mals at work, performance dogs are fun to watch, but, way to much work for this old rooster
    • Yep, it was only an option on the Q50 Hybrid.  Same in Japan as far as I know. And doesn't use a centre diff like the Suby's do, so not the same as the WRX.  But it also isn't a reactive AWD like other Nissan AWD vehicles are, eg. Murano/Xtrail/etc.
    • You should have got a Maine Coone then. Only thing is they're big. But so cool, and just like a dog. Or, just get yourself a high performance dog. That'll teach you for wanting Parkour indoors 😛
    • Are you thinking of Bens R32? I don't remember if his went through the bonnet itself, but it went through the chassis rail. Brad (RISKIN) bought it, and turned it into a track car. It's funny how anti people are of Jim Berry now. I remember when I pulled mine out (during an engine change) and inspected it and found it cracking badly. At that point in time so many people were even on SAU, were so pro Jim Berry, and that was after Bens GTR exploded his quite publically.
