i would buy yours in a heart beat for 12k!!! :) That's about the limit of my budget though :( If you are desperate to sell let me know and I won't even bother test driving any, the money will be in your account within 20mins haha

Not in any rush, for $12k I'd rather write it off into a pole. I sold my father in laws 1999 Hiace for $13k.

lol no doubt - I was not trying to annoy you by putting a stupid offer in, just wishing I had 19k to spend :)

That first gold AR-X looks good. I'm guessing the first owner in Japan must've ticked almost every option box. The only factory options I don't see are dual climate control and rear hatch spoiler. It even has the safety pack. All M35s have dual front airbags but only a few have curtain and side airbags and rear seat centre lap-sash seat belt. It looks to have the Bose stereo, HICAS (4 wheel steer - love it or hate it), auto tilt/fold mirrors and reverse camera. Someone has even installed reverse sensors. Going by the rear fog light, I'd say it has the cold pack which also includes heated mirrors and windscreen. But you would also need to check for underbody corrosion (salted roads in the snow). The tan colour if I recall correctly (it has been a while since I sat in one) is the darker of the pictures almost like a Crunchie (honeycomb). I haven't seen that rear number plate trim before - looks OK but would probably look better colour coded.

As Ryan says, the white M35 is not an AR-X, but it does appear to have the rare safety pack as well.

IMO on face value, the gold AR-X looks to be better value of the two, but I would check out a lot more M35s before settling on one.

Cheers

is the autech axis quicker than the ARX?

I am still trying to figure out all these different models from the different years etc!! hahaha it's not a lack of information but drowning a sea of numbers and dick measuring contests that forums seem to fill up with!! :) hahaha it's all good though I am figuring it slowly...

They run a GT-R engine and the AWD system from the 33. I know the owner of that stagea and that thing can keep up with my GT-R.

He's talking about the C34 RS260. The earlier model Stagea. Made by Autech.

There is no mechanical differences in the M35 models made by Autech (other than maybe springs...)

caveat being the 350S which we can't get...

this^^

OK that makes sense... my wife is pressuring me to get a car with more comfort options, so I think I will be stuck with the M35 models, one that has leather etc etc etc... That RS260 does look pretty sweet though!!

    • Haha, i kow right? Could have bought so many cars for the same amount of money (or less) but driving Unicorn gives you at least +1mln to style 😅. Like wise man said "life's to short to drink cheap wine and drive boring cars" 😉
    • Newbie here, proud owner of an Autech 260RS. I'm on the hunt for wiring diagrams specific to the 260RS, particularly S1. I've ran my eyes through R33, R34 Diagrams, there are some similarities, however continue to find incorrect wire colours and pins on connectors in the 33,34 diagrams.   I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction? I'd be happy to pay for the originals in Japanese. I can translate them, at least they would be accurate.   Any help please would be greatly appreciated, never heard an RB26DETT before let alone driven one, and I've got a spaghetti monster of goodness to sort out.   Cheers Benny
    • Hey all  im wondering if you can help me please I have put a rb20 box in my r34 gtt as my auto packed up and a friend had a spare box I know it’s not ideal but it will get me up and running for now. we have done the conversation and everything is working great but my Speedo we got a s13 speed sensor but my Speedo reads double now and I bought a speed converter but still not having any luck.  so I thought I’ll reach out and pick your brains  any help would be appreciated please as I wanna drive my car again
    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
