hey guys

recently changed my headlights from standard projectors to N1 headlights (yay!)

now the N1 headlights use a single H4 style globe for low and hi beam

they have standard globes in at the moment and looks pretty avaerage ie. yellowish and not that bright

i want to get some H4 HID kits for them, obviously have to be lo and hi beam, what do people reccomend in terms of Wattage and lumens ??

i definetly dont want that super bright blue light, im after nice white light that doesnt blind people or attract police

thanks

I'll double check but I'm fairly certain I'm running 6000 and they're White not Blue

The fog lights look good in yellowish.

But If you really wanted to you could swap the globes out of the foglights too and put 120% brighter globes in (white).

I'll be giving that a shot to see the results :)

Do not get HID lights then. They will cause hot spots, bad glare and a poorly distributed beam.

I suggest looking at something like Narva Actic Plus 50. Put then in a N16 Pulsar (H1), they were noticeably brighter and whiter. I would say it produces advertised 3,900K.

I also suggest to put some relays so you don't fry out the headlight switch. Running thicker wires + relays also enables you to run higher wattage bulbs.

Make sure you align the headlights properly.

Navara Arctic +50. Worth a try to see if you like them, I have meant to.

I like the H4 Hids in the N1's but thats me.

They were not real good in the projector headlights but I have found in the N1's it turns night into day. and I like that !!

Agree to adjust headlights properly as the HID's can blind on comming traffic and those your following, if not dipped down a little further.

Some people just dont like HID's...

interesting replies

i currently have H4 Narva plus 50 (not the arctic ones) and the light is yellow....

richard do you or can you provide a pic with the HID's on at night if possible, have you noticed poor light at night or other issues?? how do the HID's go for lo/hi beam? are they the 35W or 55W ones?

thanks for the replies

Michael, I had the Navara Artic in the N1 lights and they were yellow, with a tiny tiny white Tinge, I can show you on my Civic (which now has those globes) if you want.

Look for a H4 hi/low beam kit, then you wire the 3rd plug for the highbeam into the same spot on the wiring harness.

Have a look on my FB at my old car and you can see what 6000k in non projectors looks like!
