for those of you with an interest in taking your V35 to the track..

MCR (Matchless Crowd Racing) are best known for their red R35 and R34 GTR demo cars often starring in BestMotoring videos, however they also had a CPV35 demo car - one of very few japanese tuners to track-tune the V35.

here is a JDM Option feature with their demo car at the 2005 Nismo Festival:

Ultimate tuning place. Had a 350z.

Did a twin throttle/Afm conversion.

Ran a stock computer. Dropped bigger injectors in there to account for halving the Afm volts.

I'd use uprev over hks. The software is nicer.

Imagine my tuner's reaction when I asked him to tune with Japanese software. PITA.

Why would they use English S/W over Japanese? The Z33 has so many better tuning options than Uprev, it's only benefit is cost.

Depends what you want to do with it....

for 99% of the people on here, its the right choice. Its only if your running greater than 400kw you might start to have issues.

But Fools are easily parted with their money. $2400+ for a Haltech to do a NA tune.....

    • Ha ha ha, that's fair mate! We have the crackhead dogs now. Mainly because the missus wants the crazy dogs while she still has the energy and capacity to be able to keep up with them! Ha ha our current two are both Working GSD, there brothers and sisters (from the same litters) are in Police, Corrective Services, and I believe one did end up in defence force too. They're wild and fun, yet right now, both curled up asleep on the lounge room floor while we watch some TV. Mal is very likely the next dog (unless I get my couch potato guardian dog 😛 )   What are your Kitties names? Are you planning some house work, like those high kitty shelves, built in scratching post, and some cat passages from one room to another room?
    • Maine Coone, did look at but to big and fluffy As for performance dogs, we had Mals at work, performance dogs are fun to watch, but, way to much work for this old rooster
    • Yep, it was only an option on the Q50 Hybrid.  Same in Japan as far as I know. And doesn't use a centre diff like the Suby's do, so not the same as the WRX.  But it also isn't a reactive AWD like other Nissan AWD vehicles are, eg. Murano/Xtrail/etc.
    • You should have got a Maine Coone then. Only thing is they're big. But so cool, and just like a dog. Or, just get yourself a high performance dog. That'll teach you for wanting Parkour indoors 😛
    • Are you thinking of Bens R32? I don't remember if his went through the bonnet itself, but it went through the chassis rail. Brad (RISKIN) bought it, and turned it into a track car. It's funny how anti people are of Jim Berry now. I remember when I pulled mine out (during an engine change) and inspected it and found it cracking badly. At that point in time so many people were even on SAU, were so pro Jim Berry, and that was after Bens GTR exploded his quite publically.
