SAUWA used to be awesome

What happened?????

Sad to see

Been a member 11 years and it was awesome

Seemed to me it was moderated to death , moderators complained there wasn't enough time to screen for sale posts (despite instant posting on main for sale column) then closed WA for sale section

People gave up and went elsewhere

Can't moderators email out to all WA members if a specific event is organised?

Like a meet somewhere on a sunday with a cruise and a bbq?

Just to try and pump some damn life into this.

I mean how many skylines are there actually left on this forum?

Honestly, if the moderators/committee/organizers aren't interested in doing anything anymore, why are you letting them hold their positions? It feels like you need some fresh blood on this site. When was the last time the WA crew organised any events? The last sau dome day I attended wasn't even organised by a committee member, but rather by one of your regular members. Hell, if they are so lazy they closed the WA specific for sale section? f**k a duck, that's woeful.

Silviawa was the same until recently when we grabbed some new coordinators, now we have more social events than the Kardashians. Our last one was watching fnf6 at the drive-ins, I'm sure you guys could do similar.

Depending on how many skylines are left. A joint sauwa/silwa cruise is necessary.

I'm gonna go pester some mods now :)

Sounds good - the last join Sauwa/Silwa cruise was 5 years back??

Those cruises were organised by me, as were most of the last few sauwa cruises. Crumz has been a good mate of mine for years, one of the first people I met through the car scene. I had no issue with that being my part of running the club, but it was being run into the ground and I was fighting a losing battle, as can be seen here in this thread. I wanted to do more things as a club & was happy when some real direction was being aimed for...for a couple of months before nothing else was heard. Brad was organizing another skidpan day, then that idea disappeared completely. He might still be on here but he had deleted me from facebook as well so I have no idea what happened. Cruises used to be monthly lol...

How many of the mods still drives a Skyline?

Not a mod, but yes I do. I'm out of touch with who the mods are these days/which ones are still active, but it's easy to notice there is a lot less activity to get nazi over. I've met a lot of good mates and good people through cars but I agree with one of the comments earlier they were way too strict & pushing people away, making it seem a lot less friendly around here.

Next sauwa event should be a big group hug

Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
