even worse is why did they have to take out my intercooler?

They may have had to undo the engine mounts and move the motor around a little to get the box bolts so that would explain loosening the cooler.

Just don't get how the injectors would start leaking or why they would have had to be touched in any way.

Unless the back of the rail hit the firewall or something silly but its pretty unlikely!

just be careful what is said online as they can do you for deformation of character etc....

what r u on about, they can't do u 4 telling the truth about something when u have proof, that's the craziest thing I've ever heard. It's OP who actually has the right to sue the business the way they damaged his property and didn't provide the right service he payed 4, hopefully the loose there business license from this

Actually they can because their is a lack of substantial evidence. Best case scenario, OP gets his case thrown out for naming and shaming. Worst case, they come after him for public defamation and loss of earnings.

What the OP needs to do is create substantial evidence as to how the work conducted by the workshop has destroyed the vehicle. When you factor in that it's a 10+ year old car, driven by someone who would be stereotyped as a 'hoon,' it makes the case a little harder. The onus will be on the OP to provide the required evidence which means talking to a proper mechanic and getting them to write up an expert witness testimonial which will explain in laymans terms why this shouldn't be happening.

Actually they can. Hence the way OP has handled this in a professional manner!

Lol my spelling was useless!

Working with lawyers you know you have given the shop first right of repair.

Contact fair trading and pursue this. It's not acceptable.

In the meantime have your skyline repaired or quoted by another reputable shop (Quote/Receipts)

Wait for the hearing and see how you go. I am sure you will do well.

I have seen 2 businesses in my area fold through lack of trade after similar poor workmanship :D

Your rant is perfectly valid and a number of us have experienced similar treatment and frustrations.

Yup. This would be the way to handle it. It might be easier to go through QCAT?

MTAQ may also be able to help if the said shop is a member

I have 3 quick ones..

R32 skyline - Just bought it, had suspension looked at/identified + a rear strut bar fixed up (was missing bolts etc)

Mum drive it home.. Lol, still in my P's

Anyway noticed bonnet wasn't shut properly.. The dampening was the opposite to left/right haha and my bar wasn't touched. $180.... Took it back, all goods :)

Corolla - got wheels put on, woke up to go to work, wheel fell off, f*cked my hub n sh!t they were alright.. Payed for it to get fixed :)

Ford festiva 93 (first car) - regular service, engine seized about 20ks down the road...

This was my fault apparently... Worst service ever, I knew as soon as I went in ahaha, oh well.

Sump bolt wasn't tightend? Or they just didn't bother to fill her up.. I'm not sure $270

BUT.. Get this haha someone rear ended the poor little festy and I got insurance ahahaa! Woo

Maybe the workshop identified who 1st built your car ( Coil Cover ) and decided to dick you around because the workshop you went to got burned and dicked around by the other shop displayed on your cover ....no names.

Just a thought nothing aimed at you mate.

still...thats not professional. y shd they mess with him just because previously he went to a workshop they didnt like?

exactly as you said, it's not professional.

some shops are quite childish.

and its only a theory.

    • Hi from Canada, Both of my calipers are starting to fail. My car is a 2005 M35 Stagea ARX and I can't seem to find any parts or any cross reference caliper that would fit my car. Is there a company or a similar caliper that would fit and I could replace the OEM one. Or if anyone knows where I can find a new OEM. Any help is very appreciated. Let me know!
    • Maf is a question mark but TPS  I have set at 0.47, the fact that I’m getting proper voltage range out of it with the key on leads me to believe it’s functioning properly. I’m getting proper voltages on basically everything. I still need to look up voltage ranges for z32 maf and test that
    • Honestly no not at all, but it’s a very basic tune, it’s stock injectors q45 tps and z32 maf. Other than that it’s a completely stock base map. The file is from nistune and from my understanding if it was tune related I would be able to unplug maf and tps and it would still start even if it was a really shitty start. I have tried starting it with coolant temp, maf, and tps unplugged none of those 3 togethor or individually changes anything

    • What does it look like with highway driving? And yes, I had a similar thought as Duncan. It looks quite similar in my Stagea and I have made myself accept it as normal. Might have to look into it some day   Highway gets as low as 10l/100km on my end so I'm not as worried about it being a mechanical issue. More likely just the tune on the haltech.
