I took my GTR for a run at WSID tonight. There was quite a few skylines about, some nice looking ones, and some super quick ones. It was good to see. I got 9 runs in, which I was pretty happy with.

Gunmetal 32R? Good runs you had there mate. How was the 35R though? hehe.

Yeah mate, that was me... Shocking few runs to start with, but all a learning curve for me. Got down to a 13.335 @172km/h by the end of the night, so I think with a better 60' time, some better rubber, and a bit more practice, a 12 is on the cards.

That 35 was nuts!! The sound alone was giving me blood-flow...

13.3 aint too bad! 12's are definitely on the way now. Next week Friday another 32R is aiming to get down to mid-8's ;)

Mid 8's... Man that's quick. I don't even think that I would know how to hang onto a car like that. I just like the idea of getting into the 12's on the drag strip, and then working on good circuit times at the various tracks around NSW.

When it stalls is it nearly like a switch off, like you've turned the engine off? Or is it more stutters and sputters and coughs to death over a few seconds? Or does the RPM just slowly keep going down and down? Have you done a test of trying to start it with the AFM unplugged? Does it still die?     If you Follow Josh's advice on using Nistune to check the voltages (which is a perfect method!) if you see anything out of wack voltage wise, THEN get the multimeter out and read the voltage directly at the sensor. If the two vary, then you're now looking for a wiring issue vs a sensor issue. So be aware, what the ECU sees, may not be what the sensor is actually saying too...
    • You very likely need to get it on a dyno and tune it. My assumption is, you've got an RB25DET tune in it, which has a different manifold, different injectors, and different cams as a minimum. What O2 sensor are you running?   When you say it runs extremely rich from idle all the way to redline, is this just free revving it you see that?
