at the end of the day he is probably street racing anyway.

enjoy getting your arse handed to you by a mildly tuned street gtr.

ill enjoy that as soon as he beats the r33 which makes i dont know a 1000bhp?

you wanna come against it , huh! anyone.....

now now lets come to the point. excluding the racist thing.

your suggestions in tuning the 1jz to 500-600

*sigh* i gotta deal with paki's every day.... they get excited at the best of times.... they are also the best racers / tuners in the world.. just ask them.

that gtr 1000hp ? running the stock plenum, and stock twin low mount setup ??? and an air box ? with AFMs ??? lol ???

yes that GTR is not what you say it is.. but aside from that.

You will never beat a decently tuned RB gtr on the streets of karachi with a rwd 1jz / 2jz.

On the street the GTR in its 4wd trim is king. give up now while you can. If you had access to a professional drag strip with international standard track prep and decent drag tyres then maybe it would be something worth looking into.

thats what i am talking about now! proper response.

thats jamals ride bro. and none of the stuff you mentioned in in his car brv!

we dont have a drag strip but i do got the drag tires on me. the only thing left is to go for awd then?

ive done the whole street racing on bad roads with a high powered RWD car against 4wd cars with less power then me, and the lack of traction is very frustrating. Even though i did manage to win, i only JUST won.

I really think you need to look into your idea's and maybe change them. you are never going to get a auto laggy natured rwd high powered jz off the line fast enough to beat that GTR you have posted there.

I asked my friend who lives in the UAE here, he is actually back home in Karachi visiting atm. He knows this GTR you are trying to beat. It is a GTR built by RIPS in NZ, with over 750hp.

So basically you have got NO chance what so ever to beat this car, there aint many better mobs out there then RIPS in NZ.

Forget about beating this car, and trying with a toyota JZ in a rwd skyline.... its never going to work, maybe if you went a 2jz with 1200+ hp with a shitload of money spent on tyres and suspension mods and some form of traction control. If you dont have an accident and kill yourself on the first run.

You are talking a shitload of money. Best buy a GTR and find someone capable of building it up to the standard of that one and try and beat him in the drivers seat.

the one i wanna beat is just stock!

are you racing over quarter mile ? or more then quarter mile ? 600 - 700 m?

its just a quarter mile bro. also if i can know which is the best manual which can be hooked up with any modification and which clutch set should go with it. dont mind being it hard.

It will be a faster drag car with an auto.

But really, this is a silly thread. It doesn't take rocket surgery to beat a stock GTR. You need a diff, tyres, 600HP turbo and fuel system, decent supporting mods (cooler, exhaust), a good tune.

would a gt35r suffice? with lsd diff! and i keep the auto or ditch it then!

GT35R is big enough to make the power you're after. But you'd probably be better off considering one of the newer turbos from Precision, Forced Performance, etc etc, who have light billet compressor wheels and provide a lot more response for the same power levels.

You should build the auto to handle the extra power. At the very least a shift kit is advised.

id go for a t04z, and a good built auto trans and a lsd.

its not going to be easy to beat a gtr on the streets, especially over there. and even if you do beat him, its not going to take much for him to upgrade a few little things and comeback for revenge :)

    • Welcome to Skyline ownership. Yes, it is entirely possible parts websites get things wrong. There's a whole world of inaccuracies out there when it comes to R34 stuff (and probably 33 and 32). Lots of things that are 'just bolt on, entirely interchangable' aren't. Even between S1 and S2 R34's. Yes they have a GTT item supposedly being 296mm. This is incorrect. I would call whoever you got them from and return them and let them know the GTT actually uses 310mm rotors. Depending on where you got them from your experience and success will obviously vary.
    • Hi...a bit a "development" on the brakes. I spoke to the guys where i get brakes from...and they are saying that 296mm EBC are for R34 GT-T. I then went to their site: https://www.ebcbrakes.com/vehicle/uk-row/NISSAN/Skyline (R34)/ and search for my car(R34 GT 1998 - it has GTT brakes) and it show me this USR1229 number and they are rly 296mm rotors... So now iam rly confused... The rotors i have now on the car are 310mm asi shown... So where is the problem? Does the whole EBC got it wrong or my calipers are just...idk know what?
    • Oh What the hell, I used to get a "are you sure you want to reply, this thread is XX months old" message. Maybe a software update remove that. My bad.
    • This is a recipe for disaster* Note: Disaster is relative. The thing that often gets lost in threads like this is what is considered acceptable poke and compromise between what one person considers 'good' looks and what someone else does. The quoted specs would sit absurdly outside the guards with the spacers mentioned and need  REALLY thin tyres and a LOT of camber AND rolling the guards to fit. Some people love this. Some people consider this a ruined car. One thing is for certain though, rolling the guards is pretty much mandatory for any 'good' fitment (of either variety). It is often the difference between any fitment remotely close to the guards. "Not to mention the rears were like a mm from hitting the coilovers." I have a question though - This spec is VERY close to what I was planning to buy relative to the inboard suspension - I have an offset measuring tool on the way to confirm it. When you say "like a mm" do you mean literally 1mm? Or 2mm? Cause that's enough clearance for me in the rear :p I actually found the more limiting factor ISNT the coilover but the actual suspension arms. Did you take a look at how close those were?
    • @GTSBoy yeah sorry i know thery are known for colors bud those DBA are too in colors 🙂 Green will be good enough for me
