To me it looks like modified brackets

That's weird cuz the bottom brackets look like they have not been touched. I think spacers may have been put in the top brackets. But hard to tell from those pics

I'm not exactly sure what the standard brackets looked like. Either way it all fits in JUST!!

nah, they look to be the standard hinges.

the hooks are to catch the bonnet in an accident so if the hinge fails it doesnt slice through the windscreen.

Spacers appear to be between the top of the bracket, and the bonnet. You just throw some washers in and job done.

It's how I had mine... But I have and inch high of washers... ROFL!

Well isn't this fun. Sitting on the side of the road awaiting a tow truck. Something has gone pop and spewed steam and coolant all over my engine bay. To make it better, whatever it was is right at the back of the block by the fire wall. I love my life :-(
