Hi all, I'm not one to post on forums but I have just witnessed a great thing! I was on the eastern minding my own business when I noticed an unmarked silver ve. To all the ignorant drivers doing 90-95 in the right lane he would pull in behind them turn the lights on and make them move across. It was great to see!!!! This is the problem, this is what causes road rage and erratic driving/speeding, we need more police to teach etiquette on our roads like this guy :)

So hats off to you sir, job well done...

absolutly,

in the UK and allot of europe, common drivers will pull behind you and flash you back over if coastin in the overtaking lane and undertaking is frowned uppon. which is how it should be.

He should be fining them, that would then be awesome and actually making a difference because hate to say it, but it was unlikely he was doing it to let them know they were in the wrong...

More likely all he wanted to do was get to the area around the Chandler fast as possible so he could set-up for revenue raising hour of people coming inbound/speeding like normal in the arvo.

Add to it that people may not have known what they were doing wrong unless he pulled them over and told them.

Being boxed in by these people is the most frustrating thing. Sometimes I get high beamed when I overtake them too...

Mad dog.

I always hear stories of cops being dickheads to my mates. But then I realised a key fact oblivious at first.

My mates are dickheads themselves.

If they were cops they would be the nastiest fu(kers ever.

Attitude goes along way when dealing with the law.

Don't get caught doing something naughty. And they love the "Yes officer, no officer, 3 bags full officer"

I knew as I wrote this post someone would put a negative spin on the story as I would have but he clearly had no where to go as he sat in traffic on Alexandra pde. I was completely shocked to see it myself, but it was great!

Right hand lane is also a transit lane in morning peak hour...meaning if you are not a truck, taxi, commercial vehicle or dont have 2 or more people in your car you are not actually allowed in it...

Not that anybody ever pays attention to this....

i've actually seen people get pulled over for that.

Until police actually police it - ie - fining them - flashing some lights because he is in a hurry to get somewhere will do nothing to stop the problem.

Just means you sit behind them and get a nice run down the Eastern, i get that now and again, works well. :)

    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
    • Nice car! I’m glad folks in the US have gotten past the FnF and are buying real cool cars like the 260RS I was with a bunch of mates in Portland about a year ago and spotted a green Stagea (just a regular 2.5T AWD) parked about 2 blocks away and they were like “a what?” So I made a bet with them for a round of beers and said “ok one of you run down there and tell me if the steering wheel is on the correct side” 5 mins later the American comes trudging back up the hill and goes “he’s right guys. Ok what beer do you want?”
    • Should replace OR drop the tank, give it's good clean. Might be worth replacing that entire fuel level/pump/cradle thing with this: https://frenchysperformancegarage.com/products/fpg-s13-180sx-r32gtst-single-pump-hanger-kit-billet-hat-6-v3-fpg-089?gQT=2
