A very sad day indeed. A couple lost their child, a daughter lost her father, and our scene lost one of its most influential people this side of the millennium.

For those interested: The driver of the Carrera GT was the owner of 'AE Performance', Walker was on their race team in an E92 M3 competing in the amateur Redline Time Attack series. They were leaving a charity event at the shop that Walker's organisation was holding for those affected by Typhoon Haiyan.

Also, don't know if everyone has seen it, but there's footage of a couple of guys in an E46 m3 driving past the crash while its still burning. It hits me in the gut knowing that there may someone still be alive in there.

To be honest I only ever liked the first one. The passion for cars was very evident and it was a genuine movie. They put lot of effort into it, showing the lives of true car\racing enthusiasts and we could relate to it.

Now they've become too commercialised.

They finished filming F&F 7 so it might be a bit of a sad watch when it comes out

yeah, they were leaving a charity event that was being held at the workshop owned by Roger Rodas (the driver), i'm pretty sure Paul had a stake in the place as well.

Tyrese at the crash site. Hit me pretty hard

TMZ reports that the crash occurred as the friends were on their way back from a 20 minute drive.

Prior to that drive, Rodas had personally taken the wheel of the vehicle after one of the former race car driver's employees at the upscale auto shop he owned was having issues backing the car up into the garage. The vehicle reportedly kept stalling for the employee.

As Rodas took control, Walker hopped in because he hadn't yet had a chance to take a spin in the impressive sports car.

    • The front prop shaft from my GTR had very notchy unis, which obviously needed replacement but unfortunately uses the (usually) non-replaceable (staked) type.     A new shaft is something like $2K plus shipping from Japan.   I wouldn't even bother asking the local Nissan spares dept.     Rang Hardy Spicer but no go, which surprised me a little.     There's a place over Dandenong way that would make me a 'performance' shaft but un-necessary in my situation.   They claimed to be getting the equipment in to replace staked unis but couldn't give me a timeframe.   Anyway, long story short, found a place to do the work just 5 mins from me: https://knoxdriveshafts.com.au $420 (cash) and about a week later I have my driveshaft back.   Price includes balancing. Owner is a one man band working out of a shed in his backyard but from what I could see he's very well setup with some expensive equipment.
    • Thanks. That's what I was after. One of the kits, the o-ring side is too big diameter. The other kit is a plate with a o-ring to seal and the hose connection offset.
    • oops that seems much easier lol.
    • Are you using the factory rail?  Is there any reason you don't want to use one of the two you already have, they don't have to attach to the fuel rail directly.  If you 100% must have a FPR that directly bolts to the fuel rail, you could get a Radium setup. I use a radium fuel rail and the direct mount regulator, it is quite a sexy setup.
