jdncomz
Hi, I today made the mistake of not disconnecting the battery while undoing the bolt for the thermostat housing. I arced the smanner onto the alternator + conetion. Now when I start the car I have no dash lights or interior lights and no stereo. Once I give it some revs everything comes to life. I have checked the fuses and all appear to be okay. Any ideas what else to check? Cheers Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/436574-no-interior-electrics/ Share on other sites
89CAL
What are you saying, that once you give it a rev all the lights come back on? Now when I start the car I have no dash lights or interior lights and no stereo. Once I give it some revs everything comes to life. 89CAL
Hmmmm got a multimeter? Check voltage at the parts that arent working and see what changes when you rev the car. Might be a bad earth or connection at the multimeter? Not to sure it sounds like a bit of an odd one. usually it works or doesnt. FBRacing
Along with advice above ^^, might of burned a few cells on your battery and/or fried the regulator in you alternator. Once you give it some gas, spins the alt faster to produce current. F*** those electrical gremlins.
