Very nice. Do you have much problem with rust over there, with all the snow?

Thanks :) Snow isnt the problem, but salt used to keep ice out of the road is.. But here in northern Finland they doesnt use it so much :)

^^^ Looks awesome!

I just can't get over seeing an R34 against the quintessential Finnish backdrop ... it's a loooong way from Yokohama :)

Thanks :) Yeah, its isnt the usual backdrop :D

Yeh that's what I was getting at; I had a look under my Opa's car in Germany once. 1997 Audi S4, had so much rust underneath it made me nervous getting in it. Still, beats sliding off the road because they didn't salt it!

Haha :D Luckily i dont drive my r34 at winter. I dont care if my bmw get some rust :D

Looks good.

Front bar is a bit too solid for me.

The division between lip and bar actually helps.

Also with the side all closed up :P

Thanks!

You mean holes in stock gtr lip? I think theres no big benefit of those if you dont have air ducts installed :)

Hi Markus,

Love your work. I like the body kit work you have done.

Also appreciated the fact you seem to be majority of the work yourself.

The R34 looks nice smooth. Bet you she loves the cold too ;)

I miss Finland very much and have even been contemplating relocating there, and if do I would take my R32 GTR with me.

Will keep an eye out on this thread.

Top stuff

Thanks mate! :)

recon you should shave the door handles !

My friend said the same :D But im not going to go there now, maybe later if repaint the car etc..

I just drove little 1300km road trip and next thing is raise the boost 0.7 -> 1.2-1.3 and tune it :) Turbo and new screamer are awesome!

  • 4 weeks later...

Like to see a DIY on making that front lip?

I have to check how much i have photos of making it :)

How did you go, any dyno results yet?

Hope to get it tuned next week.

My clutch release bearing started to make some noise so had to repair it week ago.

Also replaced all bushes from rear. Much more solid rear now :)

    • We have a huge update coming in the next few months, version 5 of Invision will be released. I'm holding off any changes until after this change as I'm not sure what features will be removed or introduced.
    • Yeah, plenty of air flow, there is a dedicated path that feeds the air in to the OEM intake tube behind the bumper As for a "tangible effect", maybe, but getting the pod/intake air out of the hot engine bay is worth it psychologically to me, even if it gives no performance difference, so the tangible effect in my Lizard brain saysss yessss  In the end, to me a tangible effect isn't always about performance, sometimes it a sound or a look, or even a...... feeling  Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga
    • yeah first and reverse is where you will find clutch release issues (whether hydraulic or mechanical) because the difference in revs required is the highest there; particularly changing down from 2nd to 1st when still moving. To be clearer though, it is possible that the clutch release bearing is the wrong height. This is less likely than a hydraulic issue but it is not unheard of when you are mixing and matching

    • Hi all, Restoring r33 series 1 rb25det. All the heater hoses were on their way out, have replaced them and put it all back together. After testing I noticed a small leak from behind the head on the actual metal water line to the turbo when cars warm. I tried running a longer hose over it but it kept leaking...   I am about to take the (stock) manifold off again😔 to change the water line does any one have any lines they recommend? I was looking at Aeroflow Turbo Oil & Water Line Set but not sure what everyone else recommends. Car is completely stock but want to upgrade turbo eventually. it looks like ill have to disconnect a lot just to replace these lines so if there's anything else recommended to do please let me know. Thank you in advance!
