Yay.

What's up with the car?

welll fun fact....

It was on the dyno on Friday and was all going well... Started to hiccup a little bit on higher boooooost (E85).

So trying to nut out what is causing that and then back up onto the Dyno for the final run.

Is that the last outstanding item before you get it back?

Nice, hopefully they can get it all sorted soon.

I was secretly hoping to get my car back in a couple of months a beat you to it ;)

Joke of it is, if i didn't want to go to E85 i would have had it back about 3 months ago.

Motor rebuilt again, head work done, practically all of the wiring in the car is new, a heap of suspension bushes replaced, shocks serviced (ill be replacing them soon anyway) new alternator, radiator complete flush and clean x3, drive shafts serviced and bearings replaced where needed, new Gauges, new Oil cooler,

uhhh

all the shit for the Haltech and E85

That's just from the top of my head. Ultimate have basically looked for any little issue and have fixed it.

and then stemming from there work...

What needs doing:

Rear diff

New interwarmer (at some point)

Complete suspension overhaul (im leaning towards a full nismo setup e.g Links, sway bars, and shocks). If it isn't full nismo it will be nismo links and sway bars with MCA blues

What i want to do:

Fujitsubo TI exhaust with TI front pipes.

Quaife front diff

What i'm undecided on:

Gearbox rebuild or putting an OS gearset in it

So i'm actually getting closer to the car being finished.... But a few big $$ expenses to get there.

New GTR badges made for the front guards to replace the "GT" badges. :woot:

You're joking right? In case anyone mistakes it for a Lamborghini?

Besides the GT badges on the side are a generational thing like the distinctive rear lights. Why remove them?

I de badged the gt badges cause I don't like the look lol

These gtr badges are small. Basically the same size as the gt badges.

Realized they were small as I recognized the Razer mouse mat :)

I dunno about incorrect badges on cars....

Look forward to seeing how they look. You need to get this thing back and enjoy driving it again :)

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
