Bob you'll need to specify the model.

There's pre 91, post 91 and N1.

Ok....... I need both pre and post 91's for my ADM and V-Spec2.... N1 not so important.

I know the High beams are the same H3's and the Low beams are H3c and H1 respectively but I want to know the wattage.

Thanks,

Bob.

The 85W bulbs are std....... I had it checked out with Nissan yesterday.

I bought some "you-beaut" Phillips globes as the cars going back to Unigroup on Monday and I figured they can throw them in for me but..............

In the box of goodies I got from the previous owner there is a pair of H11 globes and a pair of HB3's..........

I'm hoping that it's just a coincidence (and error) that he gave them to me as I can't see anywhere our cars taking these globes.

A post "91 car should be H1's and H3's and these are for my V-Spec 2.

This is what I bought, I couldn't get The H1's in 85W bar Nissan and I wasn't going to pay $77.00 for a pair!

I could get 100W but it's risky putting more load on the wiring.

I got these 55W but with extra 60% coverage according to the box! How often do I use high beam....... Not often.

Hopefully they all fit.

Bob.

Bob did Nissan check the factory fitment in Japan or the upgrade as fitted to the Aus model?

The Aus model had 85W fitted as part of the changes to suit our "challenging" driving conditions.

I've only seen 55W in my 32's, even the N1 has moderate wattage of 60/55W in their H4 bulbs.

Hmmm...... Good point....... My parts guy knows I have 2 cars but may well of quoted based on the ADM.

Maybe the later cars got this upgrade too?

I'll know more tomorrow after they hopefully fit what I will give them.

I'll let you know.

Bob.

I probably should have just looked in the owners manual instead of digging bulbs out of suspect headlight assemblies !!!

Well...... That's our answer well done........ I think. What does the 2 and 4 mean on the top two lines?

Thanks,

Bob.

My handbook is for all model Skylines and I think sedans had a combination headlight which used the H4, thus only 2-headlights.

My car has individual low beam lights and high beam lights, thus 4-headlights.

I can't read Jap, so I'm just guessing.

The next light below (with the H3 12v/55W) would be for the fog light.

But Bob your question is doing my head in.

Handbook says H1 on high beam.

To my knowledge R32 projectors use either a H1 or a H3C on low, but they all use a H3 on high??

    • Hi...so a "development" here aswell The swap is "done" and car went "test drive" BUT it seems the clutch(maybe gearbox?) is a little bit sad? I bought this clutch kit https://justjap.com/products/xtreme-heavy-duty-organic-clutch-flywheel-kit-nissan-skyline-r31-r32-r33-push-type "Problem" is that the first gear is hard to put into and it seems that the clutch is not disengaged. It was not the problem with the old clutch...(or like sometime the first gear would not get as easy specialy when the fluid was cold) So? Can it be like...bad "install" or is the clutch wrong ((it should not have been) i done research to get the right one) Or is this "normal" with new clutch and needs to be break in?
    • @Duncan I can try  and thanks i did not thought about VIN and part numbers for 33/34. @GTSBoy yeah it looks like iam gonna do that
    • Forgot to include this but this is the mid section of my steering rack that looks like it has a thread/can be turned with that notch mentioned in the post:
    • Hey everyone, Wanted to pick some brains about this issue I'm having with rebuilding my 33 rack (PN is 49001-19U05). All of the tutorials/videos I've seen online are either R34 or S Chassis racks which seem to be pretty straightforward to disassemble but this process doesnt carry over to my rack. Few of the key differences that I've noted The pinion shaft on the other racks bolt on with 3 torx bolts: Whereas my rack bolts on with 2 allen head bolts: These changes are pretty inconsequential but the main difference is how you pull the actual rack out of the housing. The other skyline/s chassis racks can be taken out by tapping the rack out of the body with a socket and it just slides right out. I'm unable to do that with my rack because there's a hard stop at the end that doesn't let the seal/shaft be tapped out. Can also see a difference in the other end of the rack where mine has a notch that looks like you're able to use a big wrench to unthread 2 halves of the rack whereas the other racks are just kinda set in with a punch. My rack: Other racks: TLDR; Wanted to know if anyone has rebuilt this specific model of steering rack for the R33 and if there were any steps to getting it done easier or if I should just give this to a professional to get done. Sorry if this post is a bit messy, first one I've done.
    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
