Hey Guys, Always hated the big Hamburger on the front of my 370GT.

Swapping to Infiniti badging doesn't appeal to me either.

So, I did this.

Basically I modified the Nissan Hamburger.

I used a boot emblem & stacked it.

Cheers.

Yes, I do to,

was actually tossing up between emblem less & modding the Emblem..

Great work modding the emblem. In my opinion I would stick with the Nissan / Infiti logo or have no emblem at all... Your car is stunning and I feel this custom emblem devalues it by "tarting it up" unnecessarily...

Part of the reason for modding just the emblem was its 100% reversible.

As it stands, the grille is coated in Plastidip, easy peel off & back to chrome.

Emblem is in Epoxy, but is a simple replace with a new Nissan item.

You'd be surprised how good it looks in the flesh btw.

The alternative of going emblem less (which I was also tossing up between) is not reversible however, as it involves fiberglassing in the missing sections of grille from behind the badge.

Just something different, might keep it like this for a while, or maybe not, we'll see.

Unfortunately I'm cursed with a big dislike of the original grille emblem & dont particularly care for the toffy nosed infiniti badging.

Imo even a grille with a hole in it would be preferable.

Cheers.

There is a US website that made customer grilles, lips, spoilers, etc for G35/G37's.. I can't remember for the life of me what it was right now.. but if I come across it again I'll post it up in here..

Perhaps someone else may know the site I'm talking about (not outcast btw), they do a lot of carbon stuff as well (pricey, but look to be good quality).

Anyway I'll get back to you if I find it again :)

  • 2 weeks later...

A grille with the skyline "S" logo like the older models wouldnt look bad in my opinion. Provided it wasn't overly large and gaudy looking...

Either that or perhaps "Skyline" or 370GT located on the lower right hand side of the grille Hakosuka style

After 3 weeks my modded emblem sh1ts me now.

Its just to friggin big.

Part of the problem with the hamburger originally was its obese size.

I like the idea of the 370gt on the side Bliksem.

When I get a chance I'll re-do it as emblem-less & maybe try a side emblem.

All good fun.

Cheers.

yeah if you could do an embless-less grille, i'll debadge my whole car and not worry about this half half infiniti nissan badging i got going on lol

    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
    • Fair enough, I am in no way a tire expert so I'm not familiar with all the terms and conditions. I'll definitely note down the AD09 to potentially try in the future. Rain is not too big of a concern for now as I will probably only drive in the rain when I have to. And considering I still lack experience driving the GTR I'd more than likely take it easy too. I have coilovers in the car but as I barely got to drive so far I never bothered to even check if they are adjustable haha. The suspension is almost entirely old and worn as well so I suppose when I eventually fix that in the future that would make a huge difference.
