If you want, try Freeway Smash Repairs in Osborne Park. They do really good work. They fixed my car up v well, good paint job too..let me know and I'll let him know to expect you?

Not today, the air-con in my skyline doesn't work and I used 1/4 of a tank going to mandurah and back.

The guy told me i'd have to get a new front skirt (at my cost) and then $600 to paint and fit it, as he won't repair the existing.
Then he wanted $450 to pop the dent under my drivers side mirror, and another $600 to respray the door to match.
Then he wanted $1000 to remove the rear skirt, pop the dent, fiberglass the tear and then respray and fit, or $600 if I supplied him with a new rear bumper, and he would just paint and fit.

You can see the dent on the side in the photo attached, have no photos of the rear at the moment.

Yeah, after he went inside, I looked at my friend and said "You're kidding me right?" and he thought it was a good deal.

In other news, I've been quoted a maximum of $500 to fix my Air-Con, roughly $200 + whatever a fan for an R33 would cost (depending on the issue)

Ok, booked the Skyline, and my Lancer in for some Paintless Dent Removal, should be fun.

I spoke to three different places and decided to go with Dent Dismissal, as he seemed to be the most knowledgeable after a small discussion over the phone. There was a guy called The Dent Man, who was $50-$100 cheaper, but he basically just said "shouldn't be a problem, will come up good", where as Dent Dismissal gave me more information, "Based on the location, sharpness of the dent i'll have to do X and Y, could take a little longer depending on how it comes up, I've not worked on that car before so I don't know how long it'll take blah blah".

Will let you all know how it goes.

Mother in laws passport should be ready any day. We spent the money we had put aside on the house. Getting a bit of overtime lately so it's still possible but my wife said on the weekend she would like to go for New Years instead so I'm not sure what will happen

    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts
    • Bunnings would have just handed you your money back on that one!
    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
    • When you pulled it off, there is no signs of blown head gasket? Is it possible you have some other issues going on? Possible cracked blocked? Or do you think it's straight up lifting the head? Did you check what the head was torqued to before pulling it down (To see if possibly they're stretching, or starting to break threads out etc)?
