Just use windex [emoji23]

There is a bottle of spray you can get called windex with Mr. Muscle. We use it at work for everything from cleaning machinery Thuogh to detailing the d-max. I've started using it at home to clean near on everything. It's amazing. Just remember wax on wax off. Mr Miagi was Japanese and he knows his stuff.

Oh nah Motul is good, been using 300V for a few year. I just find that it turns black quite fast. I am changing as KYP recently become Moty's distributor in Australia. So I will be changing over to test it out. From what I have heard and read it's very good oil. Apparently in Japan when the cars at the endurance race used it and when they took the engine apart after the race for a rebuilt, those engines using Moty's didn't have scratches to the block or pistons etc. But as usual, I take reports with a grain of salt...what better way to just try it out lol.

There is alot of things to be said about 7.5/35 for the rb's. I just use a 10/40 fully synthetic. If you check out the Nissan manuals I think this is fine because of our hotter climate. I've just clicked over 5000kms and it's almost dead clean to the point I have to put on my glasses and shine a light on the stick too see it.

I was planning on changing my oil every 5thou just to be pedantic and because I love the engine so much. However now I think I will just wait until it gets dirty and black on the stick.
So guys whens the next catch up? Hank we still doing that pool thing? Or gokarts. Im keen for a meet also my buddy avacardo would like to join us in the next one.

I was asking Martin about the next one too , lets do the meet eat and cruise again ?

Just because it costs more doesn't mean it is better. I use the same Mobil product on the wife's fpv xr8. Which is a truck motor fitted with quad over head cams. The service period on it is 15000 and it goes black after about 10000 so? My besty is the service manager at midway ford and a mechanic with over 30yrs experience including owning his own business and building some crazy engines. He recommended this for the rb25.

The foreman in his shop had a r33 gtst that made umpteenth horsepower for years and said this was right aswell. A oil and filter change is like $120 bills max so just do what your comfortable with and keep a eye on it!

I would like to come to this and meet you guys! I was at racewars but sort of used it to watch cars climb mountains and be with my son. When we were in Albany he was like. Are the skyline people here? Why don't you get on Sau, does eliali really have a R35 can we have a look at it? Is it the colour change one out the front of the motul tent. Are u sure it's not hers dad. I can't believe she's got a 35. Too many years of watching initial D.

Who else on here loves initial D, got every episode on DVD. My family thinks I'm Bunta.

Growing up in a bogan family I was always teased for liking imports. My brothers all had big falcons etc... Initial D was my escape. Still watch it all the time.

If you are changing please try Moty first

Its all about what grade of oil it is from cude
ie. Is it triple refined oil.? Etc....
Then what addictives are added during blending.
.
I buy from LSA oil local guys hear !
They said to me most fully synthetic oil they have is hi-syn 5w 30 they also said nothing is 100% synthetic coz its all cude its all about how many times it refined n fracked. Then the addictive.

So i buy Hi-SYN 5w30 then i add liqui moly MOS2 im still researching if i can blend a 0.4um ceramic compound there is a name but cant remember it we have it at work 1kg of this grease blend is $2k

We use it for dooms day to get the machine some time till the parts arive!!!!!!. [emoji4]

    • Yeah, plenty of air flow, there is a dedicated path that feeds the air in to the OEM intake tube behind the bumper As for a "tangible effect", maybe, but getting the pod/intake air out of the hot engine bay is worth it psychologically to me, even if it gives no performance difference, so the tangible effect in my Lizard brain saysss yessss  In the end, to me a tangible effect isn't always about performance, sometimes it a sound or a look, or even a...... feeling  Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga
    • yeah first and reverse is where you will find clutch release issues (whether hydraulic or mechanical) because the difference in revs required is the highest there; particularly changing down from 2nd to 1st when still moving. To be clearer though, it is possible that the clutch release bearing is the wrong height. This is less likely than a hydraulic issue but it is not unheard of when you are mixing and matching

    • Hi all, Restoring r33 series 1 rb25det. All the heater hoses were on their way out, have replaced them and put it all back together. After testing I noticed a small leak from behind the head on the actual metal water line to the turbo when cars warm. I tried running a longer hose over it but it kept leaking...   I am about to take the (stock) manifold off again😔 to change the water line does any one have any lines they recommend? I was looking at Aeroflow Turbo Oil & Water Line Set but not sure what everyone else recommends. Car is completely stock but want to upgrade turbo eventually. it looks like ill have to disconnect a lot just to replace these lines so if there's anything else recommended to do please let me know. Thank you in advance!
    • From memory, on the R33 GTSt at least, while everyone says "It's not adjustable", I found when I changed clutches in mine, it just needed a small adjustment on the rod length. But be very wary here, as you could end up trying to push the pushrod in the master too far, or blowing out the slave.   Most likely though, if the master/slave isn't bypassing internally or leaking out, then the throw out is the wrong height compared to the fingers on the clutch, so when it moves to disengage the clutch, it isn't 100% disengaged. You can check part of this out too by jacking the car up, having the engine running, put your foot on the clutch and try to engage 1st gear. If it goes in pretty easy (Compared to the ground) and/or the wheels start turning a fair bit and it takes a bit too much brake pedal to bring them back to a stop, this is likely the issue.  I'm not sure if you can adjust the height of the forks etc in these though, it's been that long since I've touched any RB gearbox.
