idle probs

my idle is abit too low i think. just abit over 500.

does anybody know how to increase the idle rev properly?..

my car always wants to cut off when i put it into neutral now.

help pleaseee:(

I have fixed stallling @ the lights and turning problems by adjusting the screw at the back of the inlet manafold.

when faceing the windscreen with the bonnet its the one on your left and to the rear of the car, near the break booster.

I have found this to adjust the idle speed a little but has more to do with air mixtures.

Yep thats it,

in ya pict just above the lid of the break fluid.

turn it very slow with the motor running. once ya have the revs right give the motor a quick rev to ensure it donn't stall.

Yes that is the screw!!!

the plug if you have an auto is for the kick down.

the plug if you have a manual will be blanked off.

On the same unit is the throttle pos senser.but it uses a different plug which comes out of the bottom of it.

While you're about it, might not hurt to remove the AAC (Auxilliary Air Control) valve (that's what its called) and give it a bit of a cleanout - Carb-B-Clean works well.

Unplug the electrical connector. Remove hose. undo 4 10mm head bolts. Off it comes.

Undo 4(?) screws, carefully pull apart.

Clean all the galleries, and sliding bits.

Install is the reverse of removal. (Bit of silicone sealant on the gasket surfaces where it mounts to the manifold.)

That plug from my understanding can/is on manual gtst's for

traction control on the limited model which reduces your

rpms if it feels u'r loosing traction.

Make sure all air intakes are sealed properly (same problem happen on my last car)

Mine only idles at 600-700 once warmed up and I've never had a problem. Factory specs say ~700. Theres prolly something else causing it to stall :confused:.
