Does anyone know if the jdm 370gt has the tyre pressure thing going on?

Had someone who could read Japanese tell me there was an option in the speedo display that said tyre?

But had the tyre off the rim n no sensors unless some retard discarded them somewhere along the line.

Will soon be fitting q60 cluster so I can sus all the shit in there out.

No idea about the TPS. But fyi I think it is a HUGE leap to assume that a Q60 cluster will be a plug and play affair on a V36 - the wiring differences between USDM G35s and JDM V35s were pretty significant in some areas - I would imagine the V36 vs Q60 would be the same level of differences.

Got a guy in Europe who has checked schematic on both models pretty much the same,us models yes massive difference as to why he has made up new harness for my English conversion complete swap out of gear with with updated software to 2014,new buttons, new navi unit with Aussie maps, new heater n stereo buttons, gives me Bluetooth streaming n heaps of stuff, works sweet, was a few grand but it's the bomb.

As for cluster all it is is a slave

Was just going to use the lcd from it but I like the look of the q60 cluster

The only f**k around is the eprom chip that needs to be removed and re soldered into the q60 cluster to keep mileage.

Wow, nice work there Justin - looks like you have really done your homework! Also looks like when I buy a V36 in the near future I need to take it to you and get a conversion package done on it :)

Oh man I tell u the amount of emails and conversing that's been done is ridiculous.

I'd spoke to a few people in Aus about n I got such a mixed bunch of theory's and opinions.

Some people wer installing the Aus map n using stickers on the jap buttons, personally I think that is chat looks unprofessional n a bit tacky.

Some said I couldn't do it with any v36 under 2010 some said it was a 10k exercise etc

And I read all the convos on here n was pretty confused about the whole thing.

But like this guy said we arnt driving nasa ships lol

U just need to know what your doing and have the right resources.

Although it's not cheap at all I think it's worth it,considering how beautiful these cars are and for resale also people can enjoy the full potential of the car.

The English kit was $3080 and q60 cluster from Infiniti in Melbourne is $1100.

Thanks talkiet.

Makes sense now as I read about the service thing u can set.

I'm waiting on some more info but I'm hoping to adapt it to mine as the 2014 q60 set up has it I'm pretty sure,it's just a matter of if the in dash unit has the frequency pick up inbuilt or if it's an external stand alone unit integrated with the system

Yeah no worries

There has been a few hic ups like the wheel camera but we found that the fx37 have a wheel camera so we are using that button cluster as it has the camera button in the same place and actually sez camera and fx37 unit and stereo climate button panel

As for the TPMS I just received info that it is a seperate unit that is easy to get and easy to instal although it needs to be programed into the bcm which I think might be a bit of a task.

I'm waiting on a definite if it is possible to be programed into it,if it's a yes I have a tech at Brookvale Nissan who's Ment to be the best in the country who wins the annual "tech off" every year sonic been told.

I'm yet to speak with him about the mileage correction as u can also re program that so the q60 cluster mimics the mileage of the jdm cluster,in a sense it seems easier than getting a temp controlled soldering iron and swapping out the eprom chips.

I mean that's if he is clued on programming a cluster, there is also blokes out there who run instrumentation company's for this type of work which I'll look at if the Nissan guy isn't confident.

Ok so yes it can be programed into the bcm once sensors are in and installed and control modual is in same as speedo can have mileage done using consult 3

Was just at Nissan Due to legal reasons they can't do cluster mileage unless it's a warentee job and dont really want to set up the TPMS they said it could be done but it would just take them ages which will cost heaps.

So bin that idea

My guy uses consult 3 also but really knows how to use it.

    • Well, this is probably where a wiring diagram and a multimeter come into play.
    • I can say to anyone thats doing this; having done a number of R clusters; just be careful if its an unknown cluster.  It takes a bit of force to pull up; but if it feels excessive then its probably stuck. I've had this and pulled the entire hair spring out; and I can tell you; its not easy getting the correct spring replacement with the correct inner diameter and winding. In my case someone had used some sort of adhesive to stick it to the spindle and it pulled the whole spindle out; which the force seperated the hairspring from the spindal and caused it to deform.  You may have to clean it (IPA); or in my case if i'd known i should have used some sort of solvent on it.  Also check out Cruizin Central on eBay. He does all sorts of dials; and you can email him with any custom designs you want. So if you want like certain logos etc...he'll send you a mock of what it will look like then you accept the order and he'll take care of the rest. Fantastic dials and he can do basically any design you want.
    • Have you confirmed its the actual axles? Also the wheel bearings that mount on the hubs to hold the axles wear out. I replaced mine as they got play in them. It sorted my play issue.
    • Ive converted a few clusters for the R33 with 320km/h dials. On the back there are some pads which can be bridged or unbridged (using solder or wick braid) to calibrate it. There is one bridge which is for MPH <> KPH; and there are combinations of bridges to offset it. There is probably a diagram  For example; this is my conversion for a 180km/h dial to a 320km/h dial (I put custom GT-R dials on it with the GTS25t layout) If you have J2 soldered (assuming the S clusters have a similar config to the R clusters); you may need to remove that solder
    • Back on topic 😉, these are some of the notable pages from the booklets that are supplied with each weekly parts update. I never knew the BNR32 test mule car had an S13 Silvia front end... *Edit: On closer inspection the test car still had the R32 body, but only the front end had Silvia panels etc.
