Thanks garage door.

Now i have some long bit of plastic cord with teeth hanging out of my aerial hole, dangeling down the side of my r33. :P

did a search on this and the results wernt very helpful.

How much am i looking at for a new aerial installed and were on earth am i gonna find one, this must have happened to someone else. I live in Sydney around the Northen Beaches so if any 1 knows a place around there that can sort this out. Would be GREAT!

may sound like a small problem but it hell frustrating! thanks guys :P

this the aerial for the radio?

If so... mine was farked when I got mine...

If the telescopic bit is still fairly straight u can fix it urself...

takes about 1/2 hour... go into the trunk, on the left side... unbolt the motor that works

the aerial in and out... and have teh aerial itself...disconnect the power, piping etc.

take it all apart and start to piece it all back together... its fairly straight forward and

common sense to see which goes where... the hardest part is winding all the "plastic bit

with teeth" back in - as that tends to to spring back out.. just need to hold stuff down

firmly and work backwards... once ur done, screw everything backtogether and reinstall

it... another idea is to regrease it while ur in there...

hope this helps.

P.S - If its completely busted... try someone who has written off their skyline.

Half lower switch? u got that on your R33? where's the button? I have one button in my dash but i think it's for the parking pole at corner of front bumper which dun work, not for the electric antenna...

Hey dude

I did exactly the same thing about 6mths ago - Get yourself an aerpro replacement mast from autobarn/repco/something like that i think i paid $22!

I'll see if I can get the exact model for ya - U can always just turn your radio on and let it wind out and pull it all out so it doesnt hang out!

MODEL: AP12

parking pole?

Yes, parking pole or parking antenna. Dunno what they call.

It's the pole thing on the passenger side of front bar corner, useful for those car owners in japan who can't judge distance when doing paralel parking.

    • Oh, also, forgot to add these photos I believe.
    • Thought i'd update on this. I was able to get in contact with Craig Lieberman and later on Darryl Alison (owner of Kaizo Industries). Darryl was able to help me verify that my car was in fact one of theirs and is helping me find more info on mine !
    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
