Recommended repairers VIC

Hi guys,

Sadly I'm new to the forums, have owned my new stagea for 3 months, and have had my first crash that was my fault....(went into the back of a polished up 370gt....)

Sucks that my first post has to be this one! I am glad that I have finally signed up though.

I have some front end damage and my grill, hood, cusco front bar, guards, and wide flares have all been damaged.

My car has been assessed by a local shop, but after weeks of no contact, I called just cars and they said the repaired cancelled as they could not find parts!

Can anyone please recommend a shop that can fix her up? I would like a fmic on by the end of the year haha..

I live in Diamond creek but work all over town, and generally go to the office which is in Bayswater (also need to meet Scotty for a few bits and pieces).

In the same week my phone broke, so for now ill upload a side shot. You can slightly see the damage, though it's mostly from front on...

Thanks guys. Ill post a few more pics once I get her fixed up!

Go and have a chat with Sean and Bruce at Hurstbridge - in the old Brock servo. They don't mind taking difficult jobs.

Also, I'm in Hurstbridge and drive a yellow c34 with a black bonnet so say Gday if you spot me.

Awesome. Thanks for the help.

I might have seen yours a few weeks back. I've seen a few r32s, Silvia, and an r35 quite often around here. Especially on the drive to and from the eastlink at Doncaster.

Do you know of any black c34 around this area? He absolutely thrashed it up the straight after the big round about at Williamsons rd, it was a beast haha.

I'm trying to fix up my error on my dampener controller, will get a intercooler put in after my repairs, and new rotors for the front. I already have turbosmart bov, dump pipe, 3inch exhaust system and muffler.12~14psi would be nice, so i'll decide on ecu and boost controller next year.

Factory boost on an m35 is already 12-13 psi. Since you've got dump and exhaust it's probably running a touch more. Maybe you should add a proper boost gauge first:91_thumbsup:

Haha yeah I just read that it was about 12 from another thread...I had figured less than that..not sure how I got mixed up! Would still like to see how 14 compared to stock.

I was recently going to do a few bits and pieces, including boost gauge but Justcars excess + special vehicle excess seriously set me back....

    • No, code 21 is very straightforward. It can only be the things described in that diagnostic flow. In fact it has no way of knowing that the spark plug resistance is out of spec.
    • Hi, SteveL Thank you very much for your reply, you seem to be the only person on the net who has come up with a definitive answer for which I am grateful. The "Leak" was more by way of wet bubbles when the pedal was depressed hard by a buddy while trying to gey a decent pedal when bleeding the system having fitted the rebuilt BM50 back in the car, which now makes perfect sense. A bit of a shame having just rebuilt my BM50, I did not touch the proportioning valve side of things, the BM50 was leaking from the primary piston seal and fluid was running down the the Brake booster hence the need to rebuild, I had never noticed any fluid leaking from that hole previously it only started when I refitted it to the car. The brake lines in the photo are "Kunifer" which is a Copper/Nickel alloy brake pipe, but are only the ones I use to bench bleed Master cylinders, they are perfectly legal to use on vehicles here in the UK, however the lines on the car are PVF coated steel. Thanks again for clearing this up for me, a purchase of a new BMC appears to be on the cards, I have been looking at various options in case my BM50 was not repairable and have looked at the HFM BM57 which I understand is manufactured in Australia.
    • Well the install is officially done. Filled with fluid and bled it today, but didn't get a chance to take it on a test drive. I'll throw some final pics of the lines and whatnot but you can definitely install a DMAX rack in an R33 with pretty minor mods. I think the only other thing I had to do that isn't documented here is grind a bit of the larger banjo fitting to get it to clear since the banjos are grouped much tighter on the DMAX rack. Also the dust boots from a R33 do not fit either fyi, so if you end up doing this install for whatever reason you'll need to grab those too. One caveat with buying the S15 dust boots however is that the clamps are too small to fit on the R33 inner tie rod since they're much thicker so keep the old clamps around. The boots also twist a bit when adjusting toe but it's not a big deal. No issues or leaks so far, steering feels good and it looks like there's a bit more lock now than I had before. Getting an alignment on Saturday so I'll see how it feels then but seems like it'll be good to go
