1996 Nissan Skyline R33 GTR Le Mans LM

Located North Brisbane, QLD. Can help with interstate buyers but would obviously be ideal to do a deal in person.

Asking price is $45,000.

Hi all, i am considering selling my GTR LM if someone is interested. I believe this is the only one for sale anywhere in the world at the moment, so your chance to buy a piece of history. *just been advised there are 86 LM's and 102LM v-specs worldwide.

Always garaged, serviced every 4000km using penrite 10w/40 ten tenths oil and ryco high flow oil filter.

Vin numbers are in photos so can do your research and confirm genuine lm and for you to do a vin check on, has never been crashed/written off/stolen or anythinglike that.

I have owned for for about a year and 3-4 months now, but thinking it is time to buy a house and be abit responsible lol.

I believe i am the second owner in australia, last owner had it for a few years before me.

Here is the good stuff:

Tuned 20psi e85-437.7hp atw
Tuned 18psi 98 - 387.0hp atw

Unopened rb26.
Link g4+ ecu
R34 n1's
Ethanol sensor
Flex tuned (98/e85)
Walbro 460
1000cc e85 injectors
Splitfire coilpacks
Xforce dumps, 2.75-3.5" front pipe
3.5" cat, 3.5" tanabe exhaust
Twin turbo pipe divider-plate mod
100mm greddy intercooler
Twinpod filters
Tomei adjustable cam gears
Os giken twin plate clutch
Hks evc 5 boost control
Nismo fuel reg
18 "Panasports g7 c5c2 very rare rims
Alloy radiator unknown brand
Catch can/washer combo.
Nismo triple centre gauge
Nismo cluster
Dash mat (chevron brand)
Panasoninc dvd player single din, panasonic dvd player roof mounted, panasonic amp and panason speakers, panasonic champion series sub in boot.

Probs alot more i forgot.

Now not so good:
**Rear diff shudders car on tight turns, think it has been adjusted too tight or an aftermarket centre. Been like it since i have had it, feels like both wheels are locked.
**paint on part of bonnet clear has peeled recently
**window washers don't work.
**dash facia damage from glue by previous owner having apexi power fc hand controller on dash face (next to triple cluster)

I can take serious buyers for test drive, but under no circumstances someone else to drive sorry. And will meet in public place for inspection, too many skylines get stolen so want to keep my address private until sold and buyer can pick up.

I am negotiable but am not open to lowballers and please no swaps, wanting a house, have another car and motorcycle.

Please any questions, just ask. Inspections anytime on weekend or weekdays after 4.30. If not enough interest will put house buying on hold and save more lol.

Thanks for looking.

Price lowered, 40k come and grab it.

Window washers are now working, have had them rebuilt.

Gtr's are only going to go up in value, let alone a gtr LE Mans.

Whats with the rear diff shutter? Have you been quoted to repair it or find out the cause of it 100%?
Otherwise it looks like a beauty.

Likely an aftermarket diff locking up - normal for 1.5 way and 2 way diffs to do this with low speed / tight turns. It can be helped with thicker oil, but is otherwise normal assuming that's what's going on. You can get used to driving them a certain way that avoids/reduces the clunks.

With the current price of decent R33 GTRs in standard guise, I'm surprised this hasn't been picked up yet

I think you'll find that's only the asking price of many GTRs ($40k for a shitter with a genuine 300,000kms). None of them will actually be selling, unless the buyer is a complete moron. This is a fairly well priced GTR.

Is this the one Tokyo Prestige is now advertising for $50k in Adelaide?

That dealership has been caught winding clocks back in the past, there's an old thread about it....no idea what they'd be like these days.
The car looks different to this one advertised. A lot of stuff removed if it was the same car.
I'd be asking for import papers to prove kms if buying from that dealer.

Hi mate, looked like a great car! Wish I saw it sooner!!  Can I ask how many k's were on it? And if possible how much you sold it for? I'm thinking about getting an R33 GTR and checking value and what's currently on the market

thanks mate

    • Just trying to get my head around this. At 5psi of boost, you turn on your wmi pump, and then you're using a 3000cc injector, to allow flow upto the actual engine, where you have your 6x200cc injectors and a 500cc injector. If the above is correct, what advantage are you obtaining by having the 3000cc injector blocking flow, is this just incase a line breaks between that injector and the motor you can stop flow immediately? Or are the 6x200cc and 500cc less injectors and just spray nozzle?
    • Welcome! New member myself, but I had an R33 back in 2002. Best advice I could give, based on my experience: if you're running the factory turbo, be very conservative with boost. I made the mistake of just fiddling around with the boost controller and cranking the boost for fun, and the end result was my intake pipes popping off frequently from the constant deluge of oil that was being blown into the recirc by the stressed-out turbo, which itself was siphoning oil from the engine and farting it out both sides of its centre bearing (or something to that effect). If I could do it all again, I would have gotten a new turbo and had a tune dialled in professionally and then just left it alone! Funny you mention the metal shavings in the gearbox, as I had the same thing - the probe plug (magnetic drain plug, essentially) would come out caked with shavings. At least it was doing its job. Not sure if that's just sacrificial wear and part of the deal, or if my gearbox was shagged, but I wasn't abusing it. Enjoy the R33 - they're a dying breed, and if they weren't $35k+ on CarSales in Queensland, I might have picked up one of those again, instead of the 370GT I own now (though I'm loving the 370GT, that big 3.7L V6 just hits different).
    • Howdy folks. I owned an R33 back in 2002, which was thoroughly beyond my capacity (financially speaking) to maintain/insure, so we parted ways in 2004. Fast forward 21 years (to literally yesterday, in fact) and I'm now the proud owner of a 2007 V36 370GT. I'm happily surprised by how much power the VQ37VHR makes, compared to the RB25DET, considering the latter is turbocharged. I had planned to add a turbo at some point but I'm on the fence about whether I'll even need it (though I do love the sudden onset of extra torque). Any other 370GT owners around the traps, I'd love to hear about your experiences with this car (good and bad).
    • Perhaps the answer is... more jacks!* *proper jacks must be used.
    • I NEVER think about using a scissor jack unless there is absolutely no other alternative. f**king things are dangerous, annoying and stupid.
