rb25 neo cas sensor.

Ok. I've  looked around and can't find anywhere that has a replacement sensor RSB14K for a neo engine.  Doesn't anyone do them anymore.  Just after the guts tof the cas as where the plug goes on my spare one is busted. Any help would be appreciated.

No I'm not interested in putting on the ross kit as engine is fully balanced and it's not wise to go changing parts ( harmonic balancer)

You're probably having a hard time because they are not sold in seperate parts. The whole CAS is sold as 1 unit and people generally won't pull them apart, especially a working one.

New Cam / Crank Angle Sensor (CAS) - Nissan Skyline R33 GTS25 / GTS25-t / GTS-4 & R34 GTR / 25GT / 25GT-4 / 25GT-t / GT-V - Hitachi Plastic Cap Type

Yer i keep coming up with the same answer.  Apparently they don't even make them anymore either or any parts. They stopped production in 2003.

Looks like eventually everyone has to go for an aftermarket solution such as the Ross kit.

There was a complete CAS put on eBay today, apparently brand new condition, only used for 200km $200 start or 275 buy it now. Bloke reckons he bought it thinking it was the source of his issues but turned out to be something else. Maybe worth asking the bloke some questions. Listed as rb25 neo CAS.

Why not just buy a new OEM one and be done with it?

Plug in and don't worry about it for another 20 years lol

Have you even spoken to Nissan.  If they manage to locate 1 they are about 1100 new. Don't really trust ebay so say new one's.

The one jordy32 listed from kudos is 660 and is genuine nissan and a trusted supplier. Nissan are not the only supplier of genuine parts. Companies like kudos, just Jap and taarks buy their oem stuff from Nissan Japan and sell it here with a reasonable mark up, unlike Nissan who like to rape your wallet, although sometimes on certain parts they can be ok.

    • Yeah, playing with naturally aspirated is not smart bang for your buck power wise, but then I've never been known for being smart when it comes to cars and modifications
    • I mean from V8 world there are gains to be made in intakes and such over stock items, but definitely only if you tune them. We're talking about I dunno, 10kw here and there on a 300KW v8, gains made by tuning in the 0.2 AFR that it changes so YES but also no you won't notice it other than the sound. Duct the air as mentioned 750,000 times and you will notice happier IAT's which definitely make a difference N/A. I mean my unsubstantiated guess is you'd go from 140kw with everything stock (after cams) to 145kw with everything and a tune :p
    • I decided to "spend baby spend", and "risk it for the biscuit" 2 Orders were made buying parts that I "don't really need but really really want" totalling $2.5k AUD 1: In stock items (intake plenum and throttle body) 2: The airbox thingie, with no real ETA for them getting more stock, so patience will be required
    • Any further updates on experiences with them? Anyone installed one with a getrag here as yet?
