R33 what power?

Hey guys,

Just wondering what power I'd be looking at with the following mods on my r33 s1;

3.5" turbo back, highflow turbo (hypergear, G3 with high pressure actuator), splitfires, 550cc injectors, z32 afm, r32 ecu nistune, fmic, blitz pod, walbro 255

Any rough guesses from previous experiences or if you know roughly in kw?

thanks guys

250 - 270 sounds about right on P98, depending on how happy the dyno is that day. Your injectors will stop you going to E85, but if you upgraded them & tuned for E85 you would be looking around 300. Intake piping & cat may cause issues at that power level as well.

Cat is de-cat (hollow) 3.5" and Intake piping what do you mean? Plenum?

No, the rubber pipe from the AFM to the turbo - if you still have the stock one it will suck closed at the boost level you need to get over 250RWKW.

Ok will change that too. I'm only going safe tune so roughly 17-20

I have literally the same mods aside from the 550s (I have 740s) and I got 230rwkw @ 14psi - I would have gone higher but at the time I had a shitty actuator (which is now replaced).

Your mods will net you 250rwkw-ish as stated but yes, replace the stock intake pipe for a solid one.

Im going E85 in the next few months and all I need is a 460 pump upgrade, flex sensor, fpr for peace of mind and a tune and I should be in the 300 club :3_grin:

Best bang for your buck way to get to 300rwkw imo. I wish i looked more into going E85 flex before i got a power fc.

    • It's funny, as Ive seen plenty of people use them in cheap builds on YT. And they actually go okay, even though a lot of other maxspeedingrods stuff is terrible. Those turbos seem reliable enough, the only part being, a good quality turbo that is "identical" to it, will out perform it day in and day out. In both a lower boost threshold, and the ability to flow more air at the same boost pressure. As a cheap cheap replacement, not a terrible choice. For cheap and shouldn't blow in a day, not terrible (like other eBay/Temu turbos) for low cost and still decent performance, that's where the question comes in to play from the results I've seen. I'd actually find it hilarious to buy one, and strap it to a paddock basher or some other cheap as POS originally NA car, and send it to the moon!
    • The maxpeedingrods turbo is cheap and bolts on to stock parts. I think you just need a bigger silicone coupler for the intake. Its a cheap china turbo, but it's been running on mine for almost 3 years at 16-19 psi.
    • What do they look like right after you've tried to start it with everything connected? Also post photos of what they actually look like.
