Have you seen this? Crank Sensor Bracket broken!

Hi Guys,

 

My mechanic took a look at the timing belt on my RB20 and the Crank Sensor Bracket (Thats what I think it is) just came away - Has anyone seen this before - how would it of happened - any ideas.

because your mechanic has hammers for hands, nothing to worry about with a new one on it

Engine was dropped? Or hit something while being hoisted? Or front ender

I find it quicker to snap them off if you need get to the exhaust cam gear

Bahahaha ! Very droll !

My guess would be a heavy handed mechanic not torquing up the bolt to the right spec and fracturing the aluminium
