Might be a stupid question but If I end up getting the 3inch exhaust can I run it on my car n/a will it change anything on my car in a bad way? Cause I just want to do a few things to make it sound better and go better as well get a few things done before I throw a turbo in it.. If I can put on the 3inch exhaust what one would use reccomend so the car doesn’t sound like shit any advice would be appreciated thanks

Been there done that. First thing you should do is cover/seal that pod filter, or install standard airbox. Sucking in hot air does nothing positive for your engine.

Sell your 3" exhaust and buy a GTS1/2 style exhaust manifold (6 to 2 to 1). . Buy two fat mufflers with 2.25" ends, then take it to your nearest decent exhaust shop and ask them to make you an exhaust with mandrel bends. Sound done.

Get a 'hotter' camshaft and Nistune. Install and tune. Upgrade suspension and brakes. Replace all flogged out bushes (e.g. rear trailing arms). Also invest in a working LSD. Learn how to drive, go to track days etc.

Once you're confident, sell the car or go all out on a turbo build.

There's a whole forum dedicated to your car ;)

@GTSBoy

another question I'm looking to eventually get coil overs for my car just wondering if use know any good ones where I don't have to spend an arm and a leg... I seen on eBay 1500 for only 2 lol.. I'm willing to pay 1500 for a whole set of 4 but yeah so any advice or links would be appreciated by the way I haven't done the s13 suspension conversion so I'D need r31 coil overs

Angry Industries had a sleeve for the front, you need to cut/weld your struts. The rear I think there are available replacement struts (S13 with top hat adaptors?).

Yeah I asked angry Industries no go, am i just better getting king springs all around? Bit cheaper less f***ing around and what not cheers

pretty sure these bolt straight onto the r31 don't they? They suit the stock 2 stud bolts on the front end so no need to drill another hole for s13 front end, planning to install these on my r31 once the money comes in :)

If already got the extractors an exhaust done next will be getting alarm system and coil overs and saving up for vlturbo manifold.. was gonna do the cams but might do that last struggling finding any good cams especiallu lifters any links to help with that would be appreciated cheers

What do you use the car for?

For the amount of money you would spend getting 20hp out of the 30 with NA mods, you could have a good chunk of cash towards a little boost netting alot more, lots of kits available

You would need a few drivetrain solutions though

I won't bother with the cams then

If anything I'll just finish the handling first before I even throw in a turbo

Just wondering anyone has much advice on the sway bars been told to get 27mm front sway bar and then dual sway bars... problem is I want to drive the car as a daily but at the same time if I want to have a little fun I'll do it but if heard dual rear sway bar will make the rear to lively for a daily car any advice? As well I'm not sure why I'm being told to get wider sway bar on the Front?

    • haha don't worry I'm sue you've got more fun ahead buying a 30 year old turbo car....but at least you are in the right place to ask
    • some days eh? The keyless entry and interior light on/off with the key will be controlled by the Body Control Module, but I'm not certain where that is or what it looks like (you might get lucky with a search to get a part#, which could be printed on it). I'd start at the A pillar/ Under dash/kick panel on the driver's side
    • It might be hit and miss, but Nissan Genuine Parts and Pitworks are not the same thing, although both are available from Nissan Dealers with Nissan Part Numbers. Nissan Genuine Parts are the OEM stuff, Pitworks are their attempt to get people back from generic parts makers
    • I did end up getting it sorted, as GTSBoy said, there was a corroded connection and wire that needed to be replaced. I ended up taking out the light assembly, giving everything a good clean and re-soldered the old joints, and it came out good.
    • Wow, thanks for your help guys 🙏. I really appreciate it. Thanks @Rezz, if i fail finding any new or used, full or partial set of original Stage carpets i will come back to you for sure 😉 Explenation is right there, i just missed it 🤦‍♂️. Thanks for pointing out. @soviet_merlin in the meantime, I received a reply from nengun, and i quote: "Thanks for your message and interest in Nengun. KG4900 is for the full set of floor mats, while KG4911 is only the Driver's Floor Mat. FR, RH means Front Right Hand Side. All the Full Set options are now discontinued. However, the Driver's Floor Mat options are still available according to the latest information available to us. We do not know what the differences would be, but if you only want the one mat, we can certainly see what we can find out for you". Interesting. It seems they still have some "new old stock" that Duncan mentioned 🤔. I wonder if they can provide any photos......And i also just realized that amayama have G4900 sets. I'm tempted too.
