Hi all, got myself a 400R end of last year. Few tasteful mods done so far. Love the thing. Has anyone got any suggestions for sourcing bodykit parts for them over here???

Welcome to SAU, and I doubt anyone has anything in stock in Aus (so, importing something from Japan will be the go, but pricey). Also the ADM and JDM cars have different front and rear bumpers so anything that fits locals won't fit imports

Cheers, yeah it was recently imported, is the actual Nissan not an Infiniti so will have to do some chasing around for parts.

Any ideas if the side skirts from a Q50 would fit on the 400r?

Hey Mate , I suggest doing a search on eBay , they have a few kits that fit Q50 and might fit with a few modifications on a 400r.

Quick Update on the 400r , AMS race downpipe installed . vey raspy sounding exhaust . (not sure if a like it, maybe need to get used to it if not might have to look at a resonated set in the future)

It has now done a trip to TuneHouse , the team over there did a good job managed to do a safe tune at 310kw @ the Wheels , however I'll have to look at better tyres to make the most of it.

Interested to see any videos of this or on the dyno. Mine currently has HKS secondary cats i am undecided if I want to remove them.

What did it set you back to get the tube done? And what mods have you got to get that power? I was looking at a racebox flash tune but maybe a proper tune would be better if these guys are good.

Mate , this is the current mods list

Current Mods list (Installed)

ECUTEK tune form TuneHouse in Sydney .(Just over 2k)

The car came with HKS - Power Editor but I had it removed for the full tune.

I would say if you are using the car for street diving a proper tune would be better.

That's sick, thanks for that, mine has much the same mods on a 400R. I just don't have the heat exchanger yet.

Might be worth a trip down the M1 to Syndey for a tune.

You can Remote any of these VR30..globally

Check:

AMS Performance | Racebox | Sonic Tune | Soho | Z Motorsports | Specialty Z

Performance Parts | AMS | Z Motorsports | Boosted 6 |

Exhaust | Fast Intentions | ARK | MBRP Motordyne | Borla

There is someone in Sydney with 650whp

I am at 430whp without flex fuel, but FBO & Flex-fuel will push you to 500whp!!

That's some useful information to have , it would be great if we had more local suppliers .

I went with Racebox for my tuning because they have a good rep and many VR30 customers. Even though the car is mechanically standard they were excellent; 7 rounds of tuning including some specific things I asked for like throttle mapping with no issues.

Alternatively, I bought the dongle and tuning licenses from Tunehouse (the Australian distributor) because I'd like local support for any problems and want to support local businesses where practical. I didn't go with the for the actual tune because they only do on dyno custom tuning (which is a pain for me for a standard car when I'm hours away).

Note everyone I spoke to locks their tunes, so once you start with someone you have to restart from scratch if you are not happy with them in the future which was a big downer for Ecutek in my opinion.

Thanks for the details mate , for me I think being a daily driven and happy with a basic tune (630Nm and 310kw) . Seems to be working well I just put on a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4 should help put the power down.

I'm going to start looking a brakes and LSD in the future so I might reach out to you on options to upgrade the brakes.

Cheers - Dee

Yeah I have the same mods but no heat exchange too. Had my local exhaust guy fix the the awful sound it makes when you put on downpipes or High Flow Cats.

I'm looking at a tune too but I'm thinking getting a LSD first.

I got some Michelin pilot Sport 4s but that was a long time ago and need a new set soon.

Tyres, Tune, Heat exchange and LSD. Money money money 💰 💰 💰
