I don't know about 700hp, but I run the stock rb25 throttle body on a greddy copy FFP, and it makes 400kw

It does have drivability issues at very light throttle which I think is understand with MAP tunes with cable throttle and big cams

These days, I'd 100% run an electric throttle instead.

Previously ran a greddy and q45. Had poor drivabilty down low.

Either go stock with adaptor or DBW.
OR
Plazmaman plenum and DBW, highly recommend that as totally changed my car with lots more torque everywhere.

must be cable throttle

Any reason for this?

Once you go DBW you won't look back.

So much more control, better idle control (with AC, big cams, etc.), power control strategies, easier to tune, adjustable TP curve, list goes on.

No longer will you have a twitchy car with a larger than OEM throttle body.

I know many are against DBW because "it feels shit" but most are using their nan's Corolla as a benchmark.

@robbo_rb180

agreed that is what I have heard for q45. So want to stick to something similar to stock 60-70mm max ( just want something better looking really ) overall for the greddy plenum.

@Duncan

Chequered tuning made 670 on e85 and  said they were very surprised it did that with stock TB and they actually ran out of fuel pump.

@Dose Pipe Sutututu

Running Haltech 2000 (no DBW)

    • It's funny, as Ive seen plenty of people use them in cheap builds on YT. And they actually go okay, even though a lot of other maxspeedingrods stuff is terrible. Those turbos seem reliable enough, the only part being, a good quality turbo that is "identical" to it, will out perform it day in and day out. In both a lower boost threshold, and the ability to flow more air at the same boost pressure. As a cheap cheap replacement, not a terrible choice. For cheap and shouldn't blow in a day, not terrible (like other eBay/Temu turbos) for low cost and still decent performance, that's where the question comes in to play from the results I've seen. I'd actually find it hilarious to buy one, and strap it to a paddock basher or some other cheap as POS originally NA car, and send it to the moon!
    • The maxpeedingrods turbo is cheap and bolts on to stock parts. I think you just need a bigger silicone coupler for the intake. Its a cheap china turbo, but it's been running on mine for almost 3 years at 16-19 psi.
    • What do they look like right after you've tried to start it with everything connected? Also post photos of what they actually look like.
